Basta guardare le foto per rendersi conto di quanto sia bello questo posto. Spesso però la bellezza non è tutto e parlando del servizio non posso che decantarne le lodi...tutti davvero bravissimi. La colazione in veranda (o volendo anche internamente) è una vera bontà e non manca nulla. Consigliato al 101% a chi intende passare del tempo IN PACE e a chi vuole farsi anche una passeggiata ai campi da Golf adiacenti la struttura.

Stayed here on our last night in Tuscany & wished we could've stayed longer. Tranquil views from our large & very comfortable room. There were several secluded sitting areas throughout the property to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine. Very charming hosts who provided great suggestions of what to see and do locally. And the breakfast was truly amazing with many choices, including delicious homemade cakes.

Bella accoglienza, gentilissimi. Ottima colazione. Bellissimo posto. Comodo per raggiungere le vicine destinazioni dell'Argentario. L'unico neo: le stanze non sono molto insonorizzate e si sente quasi tutto, ma quello capita spesso, purtroppo. Mi piacerebbe magari provare una camera più spaziosa e un po' più silenziosa, perché ci vorrei tornare.

Sono stata al relais settimana scorsa. Location eccellente.. I responsabili Gaia, Anita e Massimo sempre a disposizione e cordialissimi. Una vacanza per chi vuole relax accompagnati da cicale e farfalle. Posto molto strategico per visitare tutto l Argentario.

E' veramente come sentirsi a casa, gli ambienti sono ben arredati, caldi e accoglienti. La presenza di un bel camino lo rende ancora più confortevole specie in fredde giornate d'inverno come è stata la nostra permanenza. Proprietari molto disponibili e discreti.

I came for a solo getaway as part of a longer trip through Italy with my partner. The BnB was perfect for me, with helpful and friendly staff who spoke English. I was able to chat at breakfast with a few guests and the staff so I wasn't lonely but it was very low-key and private as desired. I would return for a romantic weekend with my partner. The grounds are lovely and the breakfasts are yummy with lots of variety (all cold, as is typical in Italy and much of Europe) so no need to rush off and do things, just relax. Not much to do at nearby night, which is what I wanted! It was mo omg towards the off season but warm enough to swim when the sun was out - I don't think this is usual for mid-October but maybe the new normal? In that case, I enjoyed the less crowded time even though most beach clubs were closed during the week. I spent 2 days on the beaches - one at Feniglia which is wonderful! I also drove to nearby Capalbio for a few hours one day but wish I had stayed on Monte Argentario because there was plenty to do. I do not play golf but you could see some of the holes and also the sea in the distance.

La Mortella is a gem, a well maintained country villa that has been converted into a boutique hotel. Although you have to drive by a sulfur-smelling warehouse of some sort to get there, the countryside ends up being beautiful, with a pool, gorgeous hills, and friendly, attentive staff. The continental breakfast spread is impressive and La Vivienda restaurant down the hill is excellent for dinner. And the rooms are delightful, with high wood-beamed ceilings and comfortable beds. As for the area, we would recommend Monte Argentario if you are interested in hiking, sailing, diving or golf (there is a golf resort next door), but not for beach days (not that many beaches) or crawling through old Italian towns -- neither Porto Ercole or Porto Santo Stefano are that inspiring (we didn't get to spend time in Orbetello though). Since we didn't have a very early flight out of Rome Airport (90 minutes away by car), we chose to stay here instead of an airport hotel, and were delighted we did.

Amazing hotel in the "countryside", 3 km from restaurants and stores. You will need a car or a bike. The staff and the surroundings were fantastic. Don't forget to contact the hotel 24hours before your arrival, they don't have a reception at this hotel. Overall a great experience.

The beds were comfortable, the grounds beautiful and in a beautiful setting; the building charming. The scent of something (lavender oil?) in the room was overwhelming. The linens are top quality. The room was paid for in advance through Hotels.com, but I was told by the proprietor that my charge did not go through, so I paid twice; once through Hotels.com and a second time (for more than that for which it was booked through Hotels.com). Hotels.com did provide a refund swiftly. We were promised breakfast at 6:30 a.m. to allow us to make it to the airport for our return flight. We were later told that breakfast at that hour was not an option; there was no alternative arrangement (i.e., make your own coffee, toast with a toaster or. . . ?), and there was no compensation for not providing breakfast, which was included. Our room was arranged in a peculiar way, with a wardrobe that made access to the second twin bed a bit of a squeeze; more than one chair as well as better lighting would have been nice. As a suite, the room would be perfect for a family. The room our friends had was nicely laid out. The view through the one window was beautiful.

Soggiorno purtroppo breve ma perfetto. Posizione incantevole con una bellissima vista panoramica. Giardino curatissimo nonostante la stagione invernale. Camera confortevole e colazione sublime. Ottime torte fatte in casa e salottino intimo ed accogliente. Consiglio assolutamente!!

Nice position and nice people but stench of sewerage/blocked drain in and around room was unacceptable and the deoderisers being used only served to make it worse. Staff said it was not their fault, blaming weather, old buildings, what not, but management need to take responsibility and take action
