I did have a little trouble getting in the outside and courtyard doors when I first arrived, but I Whatsapped the owner and got in. No trouble after that. Nice cafe across the street.

O apartamento é uma gracinha, muito bem organizado, espaçoso. A proprietária é muito atenciosa, deixou vários lanchinhos e ela repôs todos os dias. Quando chegamos estava tudo bem limpo! Gostamos bastante e com certeza recomendo!

We had a small but Lovely Terrace and the gave us croissant, cookies, brownies, water, etc. The place was safe,small but comfortable.

Its room to rent, like Airbnb&B, rather than B&B. B&B means breakfast. Snacks in the room are offered as breakfast. Clean, refurbished, and my room was central to Trastevere. Ground floor so convenient. a little "dear" for what is on offer. Chk in is complicated, as this is done from a distance, so if you can chk in in the designated time its ok. Outside its a matter of coordination with the manager.

I will start with the good, which included a clean room and good air conditioning. However, this was the worst service I have received at a hotel/B&B. The person sent instructions on how to get in before we arrived, except when we arrived, the instructions did not work. One of the doors to get into the building was locked and there was a buzz in box next to it. We ran and rang Mama’s House with no answer. This was in 95 degree heat at 16:30 in the afternoon. I messaged the host and she said to just keep ringing and someone would eventually answer. No one did. She didn’t offer to come help or bring us a key. She told us to start ringing other apartments in the building and ask random strangers to let us in. Because we were out of options, we started ringing the other apartments (which were not related to Mama’s House) to ask to be let in. No one answered. And it likely would not have mattered if they did since we can’t speak much Italian. The host messaged that the people in the building were just rude and being mean. Um no, either they aren’t home or don’t want to let strangers in their building. They are t being mean. Then the host tells us we can walk to some random restaurant and ask for a key. I start looking for another hotel when some lady that lives in the building walks in and is kind enough to let us in. She was very kind, but had nothing to do with Mama’s House. We finally got in, but it was a nightmare experience! The room was tiny but fine. I would not recommend!

I wish I could give this property a higher rating — the location was great and it had a lot of potential. However, the room I was assigned had a loud, persistent noise coming from inside the walls, likely from the bathroom or plumbing. I also noticed a constant noise from the mini refrigerator. I recorded videos and sent them to the host to clearly capture how disruptive the sounds were. The host claimed that no one else had reported the issue, but I beg to differ — the noise was so loud it made it nearly impossible to sleep. I had a 5 AM Uber to the airport the next morning, and not getting any rest really impacted my experience. The room number was #3

The stay at Mama House was soulless.There was no in-person welcome—all communication was handled remotely via WhatsApp. Check-in was delayed, and the room carried a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. That said, the neighborhood itself was charming and felt safe, which was a positive aspect of the stay.
