Rovatiana was fantastic. She has a great personality for this job. Was very kind. Answered all of our questions and was an excellent concierge. We had planned to drive through Positano and Amalfi the next day. She highly recommended a day boat tour. Fantastic suggestion! Driving is really something there. If you don’t have to, don’t. We were picked up at the hotel and dropped off at the same spot. The restaurant food was very good. We had everything from a burger, to a whole sea bass. Chefs are wanting to satisfy the costumers. Note - while we were waiting for our ride which was outside of the restaurant area on the street, my husband inadvertently dropped his wallet. We had at least 15 minutes so decided to wait in the sunshine up a few stairs. Within a couple minutes, he realized his wallet wasn’t on him. He went back down to the bench we were waiting on and his wallet wasn’t behind the patio cushion against the wall. He picked it up and we were off on our day trip. When we arrived at the harbour to check in, we had to pay the tourist fee in cash. My husband takes out his wallet and all of the cash was gone. We were stunned. It had only been a couple of minutes between us sitting on the bench and going to wait a few feet away in the sun and we saw no one around. Rovatiana is looking into the cameras that are outside and they will view to see who it was. He had between 800 and 900 euro. Was our spending money for our trip. We in no way blame the hotel. The property is beautiful. It's a little further from the city center of Sorrento and you definitely need a car to get there. We received video instructions on check in procedures and the hotel reached out way in advance to provide instructions. They were helpful in recommending restaurants since the on-property restaurant was closed on a Wednesday night. The breakfast is included and was really good. We enjoyed the room but would have liked a bigger comforter or another blanket since it got chilly at night.

Clean room, friendly staff, beautiful location. Hotel restaurant dinner was delicious and highly recommend! It rained during our stay so we couldn’t use the pool but the outdoor area is so beautiful that we sat at the bar and enjoyed the view and atmosphere.

The 20% dinner discount was offered, but we didn’t use it. Very courteous staff, and excellent clean rooms. A bit far from center, so transport is an issue. We used a bus to shuttle to the center. A taxi to the marina costs 50 euros. So be careful

Chambre très propre, avec porte patio et terrasse. Beau bar avec piscine. Nous n’avons pas profité de la piscine car trop frais dehors en octobre mais les installations étaient très bien. Petit déjeuner inclus. Le personnel très courtois. Nous avons souper un soir à leur restaurant et ma fille a dit qu’elle avait mangé les meilleurs pâtes de sa vie. L’hôtel se situe à environ 20 min de la ville mais nous avons pris l’autobus qui était à 2 min à pieds pour 2 euro. La trajet se fait très bien. Nous avons aimé la tranquillité des lieux. Je recommande fortement.

We loved this place. Beautiful and well maintained property. Very clean, modern room and great air conditioning. Great breakfast buffet and service. Very attentive staff. Restaurant dinner was amazing. Real italian family food. Best location if you have a car. 15 min drive to Sorrento ferry station. 30 mins to Positano area. 100% recommended.

We had the most wonderful stay at MelRose Relais. Pasquale the evening server in the restaurant was incredibly friendly, and helpful with several suggestions for things to see, where and when to catch the bus which was super close by, as well as food and wine suggestions each night. We loved how he went above and beyond and it was a pleasure getting to know him. He was a highlight from our entire trip. All of the staff were friendly and available to help with anything. The evening the restaurant was closed they arranged free transportation to another local restaurant which was one of our best meals in Italy. I saw that some people complained about the drive way but it wasn’t overly long and even after recent ankle surgery it was easily manageable. The buses were frequent and took less than 10 minutes to get us into Sorrento. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Beautiful grounds and views. Helpful, gracious staff. The room was very nice and clean. Bed was a little soft for us, but the hotel was great otherwise. The restaurant had good food and wonderful staff!

The hotel staff were amazing and very responsive & helpful through WhatsApp. We had a late check-in, and they were so accommodating. The view from the hotel was beautiful, and it was just a short drive from the city centre. Breakfast at the restaurant was great, we loved the omelette! Everything was clean and tidy. We wish we could’ve met the wonderful team in person, but we were out exploring most of the time. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay here!

The room was nice and contemporary, very pleasant Decor. The second story room has a beautiful view from the small sitting area at the front of the entrance, The sunset was stunning ! There are o lot of nice flowers at the property, it creates a wonderful atmosphere… Pool area is nice but we did not had a chance to use the pool because of the weather . The complimentary breakfast was a nice addition. The stuff was very nice and take care of all our needs very quickly .

Great family-owned hotell with very friendly and helpful staff. Their bistro was very good and the room was clean and nice. The only limitation is that there are no sidewalks along the very narrow road, so geting to beaches in a safe way requires a car or taxi/bus.

This was definitely our favourite stay while being in Italy. Service here has been incredible. Room got upgraded. Breakfast included is always a bonus. Location has been so nice. It’s about 100m away from bus stop that takes you into to sorrento town. Which was perfect for us. We booked a 12 person boat tour to almalfi and positano which I highly recommend. Other day we took ferry out of sorrento to Capri. If you have time to do one of each.. do it. During the time we stayed here it was a bit chilly but they have a pool which I’m sure during spring summer and early fall is amazing. This place is definitely 100/10. Thank you for a wonderful stay Melrose!
