The location is just a few blocks from Santa Maria Novella station, a block and a half from the domo, and not even a block from the capella medic. Everything in florence is valuable. Despite it's central location, it is very peaceful at night. We stayed in a ground floor room and I am a very light sleeper, but nothing woke me up. Our room was large, modern, and had very high ceilings. The bathroom was large and I wish I could have taken the shower home with me! It's spotless. You can tell the staff is proud of their work. The breakfast was exceptional and far above average. I only wish it had opened slightly earlier so I could have enjoyed it on my final day.. I had an early train to catch. I did take a cab to Campo mate station about a ten-minute walk because I didn't want to carry my very large bag at all at that hour. To catch one, I strolled two and three blocks to santa maria station and took a cab from there. The personnel was extremely pleasant and professional. I thought the hotel was a good value and would choose it again the next time I visit Florence. Wonderful!.

We had a wonderful weekend with my husband. 10 words. great location, great staff, excellent prices, extremely clean and very comfortable. It felt like home, and the proprietors gave us amazing advice on the best restaurants and pubs. Just perfect!.

Since my second visit at relays, I've stayed there twice, the first being almost exactly two years ago. My companion and a different couple attended the first visit, which happened to be with a friend. The hotel is conveniently situated, particularly if you are traveling by train. The hotel is modest, clean, and most significantly, the personnel is excellent. The owner of the hotel, named Ramona, is, sorry if I'm wrong, fluent in both Italian and English. She was happy to assist and advise us in selecting restaurants, and providing transportation information. As previously mentioned, the hotel was spotless and cozy, with two single beds and a private bathroom. Breakfast and freshly brewed coffee were available, so you could sightsee without having to carry anything during the day, even after your check-out time. I'm already looking forward to my subsequent visit because Florence is a wonderful city brimming with history and culture.
