I only stayed one night at this great hotel. Despite its age, the hotel offers the best view of the End Valley. The room was roomy. It is probably four times larger than the typical Japanese room. The opening is perfect. Likewise, if you enjoy walking, the path to the end valley next to the hotel is a must-try.

Overall, it was great value for money. The Japanese room was a little old, but it was spacious. The hotel's initiation was excellent, particularly the outdoor one. Dinner and breakfast were included in the room rate and both were very delicious. Since there were no restaurants nearby the hotel, I advise ordering hotel dinner when making the reservation.

During the peak of the autumn foliage season, the hotel made a lastminute reservation for a Friday night at this motel overlooking End gorge. A free shuttle service is offered from end station beginning at 14. 45 employees were helpful, but their English was subpar. The hotel has certainly seen better days and needs to be modernized. But, the public baths on the second and third floors were fantastic and changed at midnight, giving you the opportunity to use all the baths if you want to take a bath in the morning. Despite the size of the large tatami and the very old fridge and hot water pot, you may have taken all the baths. After the morning morning mists lifted, the views of the gorge were breathtaking. Breakfast, dinner is provided at the hotel. Thats the best approach given that the closest restaurants are probably about 20 to 25 minutes on foot. The alternative approach is to buy before taking the shuttle. Nevertheless, there are very few options at the tiny convenience store at end station, and the daily convenience store that exits from the station and turns right is about a 5-minute walk away and again limited supplies of hot foods. If you do not have the breakfast, lunch, or dinner plan, it would be best to stock up before beginning your trip. We use this hotel because it's close to Madam and the Narkesendo Trail. The view from the hotel is as shown in the brochure. The hotel staff was very friendly and were willing to help. We had a very pleasant dinner in the evening. For foreign tourists, be aware that the hotel name is in Japanese only. The hotel is 2 stars and the room is very worn out.

Very enjoyable stay at this hotel just before the coronavirus pandemic really started. Comfortable rooms in traditional Japanese style with spectacular views of the nearby lake. Good start and yummy food, but the highlight is the exceptionally kind and efficient staff. They went to a lot of trouble to accommodate my vegetarian family in the most charming manner and limited spoken English was no obstacle to us all getting along very well. Highly recommended and excellent value for money.
