Stay more than one night! This hotel is exceptional, and with almost no Foreign tourists it is a true gem. We booked one of the bessho sasa rooms, since we wanted to have a private onsen. Room was clean, spaceous, and (if it wasn't for the clouds) a amazing view of fuji. In room private dinning with the best service we have ever experienced in any hotel. Also, Kaneyamaen has its own private garden, with tea houses, and other smaller activities. If you feel more adventurous, then then Kaneyamaen also offers other guided activities. (Do this on your second day). Lastly there is free shuttlebus to and from train/bus stations. ..... ..... ..... We hope to come back one day and see this amazing place again. My boyfriend and I had an excellent one night stay at the Bessho Sasa. We were pleasantly surprised by the many activities and experiences offered in the evening that were included in our package. Our private dinner went beyond what we could have imagined. The staff at this hotel think of everything for their guests and work very efficiently. We appreciated and enjoyed the yukatas and robes provided by the hotel. The Japanese garden and private onsen in our hotel was beautiful and relaxing. This one night stay will likely be the highlight of our 3 week trip in Japan!

This stay exceeded our expectations. From the moment we were greeted upon check-in, to the warm farewell we received on our way out the door, no detail was missed. The open-air bath in our room with views of Mount Fuji was a spectacular amenity that we took advantage of as much as possible. The staff were so warm and friendly, the breakfast and dinner were delicious. They also went out of their way to accommodate our infant child as much as possible, that really helped to make our stay even more relaxing. We highly recommend this ryokan for anyone looking to have a truly unforgettable stay near mt Fuji.

We loved our stay here and already want to come back. All the staff were so kind. Especially the ladies that brought our dinner to the room, thank you for a great experience. Definitely recommend visiting the entire garden, it was beautiful and even bigger than we expected. Great amenities. So relaxing. Will be back! Arigatou-gozaimasu!

We enjoyed every minute of our relaxing stay! Staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was great! Can’t say enough about the private bath, it was so refreshing after 8 days of nonstop sight seeing.

This was THE BEST hotel we have ever stayed at. We stayed in the ‘Mizuho Western Room with Open Air Bath, Mt. Fuji View’. From start to finish, everything was spot on - the staff were all super friendly and attentive, the room was immaculate, the views of Fuji from our private onsen were stunning (very lucky with the weather) and the food (Kaiseki meals served in-room) was incredible. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a special stay!

Everything is excellent, top notch. The staff English is not good but they try everything to help. They were nice and very helpful. We left an expensive Jewelry in our room and we realized that when we came back home at USA, we contacted the Hotel, they immediately replied and tried every effort to send it to us. Now we have it. Thanks. We will come back the area and will stay here again next time.

This was the best resort stay I have ever had! The staff went over and beyond what was expected. The view was spectacular! The food was including the room dinner and breakfast were amazing. The amenities were equally as amazing, so many different things to do that we actually didn’t have enough time to do them all unfortunately. I would love to return at some point.

10/10 views of Mt. Fuji and incredible hospitality. While it’s not located near much, there’s plenty to do on the property with multiple onsens and private baths, a beautiful garden, a nightly drum show, and several restaurants. They also offer a private shuttle from nearby train stations like Mishima. It’s a paid service, but highly recommended for a smooth and easy arrival. At times, it felt like an all inclusive resort thanks to the way the stay is set up, with in room dining, unlimited drinks, snack rooms, and a full lineup of amenities.

We LOVED our experience here. We booked the ryokan experience which includes dinner and private onsen in our room. We had booked a western room with comfy western beds. The dinner was fabulous but it wasn’t clear that it’s served in your room. We would have preferred either a group setting or a more traditional table setting (the western room has a table and chairs). The in-room onsen was a real treat, but the property’s onsen was also impressive. We didbthe larger one at night, and then the rooftop one alternates between males and females so we did it in the morning. There is a drum show at night in the lobby which was fun. Also the souvenir shop was stocked well. We had a great time!
