The whole experience was lovely. The hotel was so peaceful, the staff so kind, and the food delectable. The public onsen was the perfect way to relax after a long day of travel. Such a unique experience, highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Gora Hanaougi. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and everything was spotlessly clean. The location was perfect — being so close to Sounzan Station made it easy to visit Owakudani, and the shuttle service to Gora Station was very convenient. Highly recommend!

I cannot imagine staying at a better ryokan. The property is beautiful and immaculate. The staff ran to greet us on the street and was very welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. Miyu was our incredible hostess and she was wonderfully friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The room comfortable and clean. I hope we have an opportunity to return.

This was a highlight of our time in Japan! So relaxing, beautiful view, and very kind staff. The food was also amazing quality, a bit unique for those who may not be used to this kind of cuisine.. but worth a try. Overall a lovely experience!

Amazing stay! They really went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. Great food, beautiful room with an onsen inside it! Highly recommend Gora Hanougi as a respite on a busy city filled itinerary in Japan. I’d love to come back and stay here again.

This entire stay was an experience. From the minute you walk in, you are greeted by a team of people who help you every step of the way. It felt like a spa, a home and a luxury hotel all at the same time! I have stayed at many luxury resorts but this was by far the best overall experience. Highly recommend. The breakfast and dinners were exceptional. We were seated in a private room for both. My daughter has a lactose allergy and they adapted the menu for her. The thoughtfulness and care taken was so nice. And the private onsen and the room was perfect. If you can stay for a couple of nights, I highly recommend it. Perfection.

Very kind, helpful staff. They will go over and beyond their responsibilities. Even though the free shuttle ends at 11:00 am, we were still brought to Gora Park/Gora Ststion at 12 noon. No hesitation. Their staff is top notch! That's what makes any hotel a superb place to stay. Of course the onsen was fantastic, beautiful and clean.

The royken(sorry if mispelled) was amazing plus the view was spectacular. Wish I stayed another night. The staff were very very helpful with everything. They even made special accommodations for my shellfish allergy. 10/10 can’t wait to come back again.

Our stay at Gora Hanaougi was a worthwhile splurge. We loved the private onsen bath on our deck, the course meals were a treat and the staff was wonderful. There is a private elevator that takes you to the ropeway so that accessing the Hakone loop is seamless (and especially as the hotel will pick you up at Gora Station on arrival). This made our stay even easier.
