Absolutely amazing. You are treated like royalty. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Very considerate of us being a bit sick and not being able to fully eat everything. Food is as advertised and very interesting. Loved some dishes and while others were absolutely beautiful they weren't my thing. Never felt pressured to eat it all (it's a lot of food). Very kind and respectful. Private onsen is amazing.

Staff were so attentive. Shared onsen was very serene, overlooking forest on the property. The private onsen in the room also very lovely. Highlight was the food. We had dinner and breakfast in the private room on the lower floor of the hotel. There were many thoughtful touches to the ambience of the room, including having a bluetooth speaker that you can use to play your own music during the meal. The food was incredible. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We had a very sweet waitress who made our dinner and breakfast really memorable

大浴場より部屋の露天風呂の方が泉質が良く温泉って感じが強く部屋風呂で十分満足した。温まったらリクライニングチェアで休んでまた入るを繰り返し永遠に入浴できる気持ちよさだった。他の高級宿も試してみたいが、円かの杜の方が良かったなとなり、また戻ってしまう気がする。

If you’re considering booking a different Ryokan while you are in Hakone, don’t. This is the one. I would fly all the way back just to be here again. We only got to spend two nights here and we wish we could have stayed forever. The moment you get to Gora station the transportation to the hotel and then the arrival immediately puts you in a state of peace and relaxation. The hotel staff are all lovely and very helpful. They truly care and know what it means to be in hospitality. The dinner and breakfast both days was so tasty and unique. The dinner experience itself is worth the entire stay. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and the private onsen is a real treat. I would highly recommend staying here if you find yourself looking for a true 5 star experience.

This ryokan was the highlight of our trip to Japan. The property is serene, the onsen is so relaxing, and the service was incredible. The food was delicious and abundant as well. It was truly a magical evening. Special thanks to Muna, our attendant during our stay - she was wonderful!

Location is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had some issues when our room (AC not working) however they were able to switch us to another room.
