Maison du Cassoulet was a convenient overnight stop on our canal bike trip, and it was located in the heart of the city. We had to wait a few minutes for someone to arrive at the hotelrestaurant across the street when we arrived because the door was locked. We were given our room keys and assistance in securely securing our bicycles in the basement. We were then requested to return a few hours later to officially check in. Before the restaurant opened, we interrupted the personnels dinner, but they were kind about it. We decided to eat dinner here as well, and at the conclusion of the meal, we settled our room and restaurant fee, which prevented potential confusion the next morning. The rooms were basic but tastefully furnished and clean. We slept well because the mattresses were comfortable. The restaurant supplied the wifi code twice, but it worked. I have nothing to complain about, and I can confidently suggest this hotel, except for the confusing check-in process and lengthy process of obtaining the wifi code.

We would be happy to come back to Cascaonne again. The personnel were quite accommodating and arranged a table for us, a group of friends, on a very cold day in a busy restaurant. The food arrived quickly, the service was friendly, and the food was generous and delicious.

We chose this place because it was near the boat base and was really pleased that it was only one night. We had reserved a room for three of us - my husband and our son - and found that the rooms were cramped. Luckily, we were able to get a second room. The shower was adequate, and the bathroom was clean. A continental breakfast was provided and was delicious. Excellent coffee, jam, and fresh croissants and baguettes with jam.

After spending a week on the canal du Midi, we spent our final evening in France, and we enjoyed dinner there. Good food choices and varied selection. Our party service was efficient even though the order for the beverages was a bit late. Everyone enjoyed the meal they ordered the evening as a whole.
