If you looking for a quiet family oriented place for 1-2 nights outside Kyoto with a Ryokan and privacy. This is the place. Bring lots of games and books, nice walks along the river. It is not a large hotel and it is not easy to get to. But the right circumstances make this a perfect experience.

Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires durant tout le séjour. Les repas sont raffinés. Les 2 SPA adossés à la montagne sont neufs et très bien aménagés. Vous pouvez privatiser l’espace pour plus d’intimité. Nous recommandons vivement ce ryokan.

I think Ill miss this place very much, a great place to return to. We stayed here for 4 nights for my australian honeymoon, and the only sad thing about this wonderful familyrun roman is that we wish we could have stayed longer! We were greeted by Yumisan at the train station. The entire family is such gorgeous, helpful, considerate, and welcoming people. Anything we asked for was provided. We were fortunate enough to be the only ones staying there for the majority of our time, so it really felt like we were part of their family, particularly on our day trip together to Washington City. On other days, free bicycles are available, and the rides across the countryside were fantastic. The fresh, clean air alone is worth the effort. Despite some parts of the Roman being over a hundred years old, the city itself is clean, tidy, and very wellkept. Bathroom and toilet facilities are modern for the guest comfort. There is a large hot tub area to rest in each day, the gardens are wellkept, and beautiful to observe and spend time in. Every day there is a gigantic hot tub area where you can relax. The breakfast and dinners are all prepared by Yumisans husband, which includes regional specialties, Japanese traditional dishes, and many more. We were not pleasantly surprised with what was provided, everything was excellent!

My wife and I enjoyed our 1 night stay at Kigusuriya. The hotel is very traditional and has a peaceful atmosphere. This hotel has a very friendly staff, excellent cuisine, and a very good breakfast. This place was the perfect choice for us.

The family was very nice and accommodating. On the first day we liked the place so much that my boyfriend requested another night at dinner. We only stayed two nights, but if given the chance to go back, we could definitely spend a whole week there. The food was delicious and fresh, and there is nothing negative I can say about this roman. One tip I would suggest is to wash all of your clothes before going, I'm not sure if they have a washing machine, but I am aware that there is no dryer. I felt really bad for them to trouble them with my laundry, but I greatly appreciated it.

What a fantastic way to start our Japanese holiday in a cozy and welcoming family house. We were greeted with a warm room and traditional Japanese tea as soon as we got there for our two nights. Being vegetarian, we expected there to be a limited selection of food, but the chef cooked a wide variety of vegetables for us. The beginning was a pleasant addition to the end of a long day of walking. The day trip to Miriam and Ohio Dam with all the blossoms was truly beautiful. The driver went above and beyond taking us to the dam to view the cherry blossoms. Thank you so much for your generosity and special experience in these last two days!.

My elderly parents and I traveled together. We reserved two rooms for two nights. Pros, yumi,, yumi, and helpful staff. Yumi san is friendly and always makes an effort to assist us and anticipates our needs before we ask. She can both speak Mandarin and English. The chicken that she has ever cooked was delicious. They employed local ingredients to create menus that varied based on the season. Affected by a paddy field, a mountain, and a stream. Traditional tatami mad with sliding doors and a futon is simply delightful. Pros It is quite lengthy to travel without driving. For 40 minutes, we take the train from kyoto to the strobe stop and 50 minutes, respectively. Although if prearranged in advance, yumi san will pick us up and depart from snore. She also took us to the hamlet and back. This wasnt an issue when we were there. Shared restrooms requiring prearranged bath time, but that wasnt an issue while we were there.
