This ryokan was truly the best ive ever been to. The location is about 2 hours and 20 minutes from osaka, and it takes more than an hour by bus from Kyoto, but the staff are very friendly and i decided to include dinner kaiseki, which he did not serve.

We might have had the best ryoukan experience we could have ever imagined. The quality of the room and the garden that surrounded it both delighted us. It was well worth it when we chose the japanesestyle room with a private onsen! The included dinner was also excellent. We went with the wagyu shabu. If you want to stay in nature and want tastier lodging, i would suggest anyone to visit seryo. I loved it.

This was the best part of our trip! A lovely and relaxing stay in ohara. The staff were extremely attentive and provided delicious and authentic meals. Outdoor onsen was particularly magical as it snowed during our stay.

The hotel staff is very kind. The location is far from the city, but all the staff are very dedicated and responsible. They drove us to the station. Private bath and hotel have very good views. Its a very quiet hotel. Restaurants are mostly japanese style, i personally think it is delicious. I will still choose this hotel next time ive come to kyoto. The location is an amazing escape area, next to temples and a beautiful trail, the garden and internal decor are very japanese while giving off opulence. Each room is quiet and has its own yard. The receptionist speaks fluently and is impressed. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. Great place to stay.

Its a wonderful experience. Expensive but well worth every penny. One of our favorite places to visit when visiting japan. The Japanese room, onsen, garden, and delicious cuisine are all the best weve ever had in all our travels, in my opinion. Beautifully prepared and presented on beautiful crockery. In terms of paths, food they ate, or temples they visited, one feels transported back in time to the ninja era.

This place is a mustdo for anyone looking to experience ryoken. The hosts were very kind and hospitable, even with my vegan options. They served me fresh and generous meals, i have never been so full of vegetables. In the cool air, the baths were really relaxing!.

This is the place to go if you want to try a kyoto tofu meal. The cost per person is 3000 yen, but its worth it for the experience. Nice environment and traditional intaria, although there is sash for all the tables. Great view too. However, it is very difficult for elderly people to use the toilet. There are steps and you have to change the hose to access the bathroom.

If you have ever wanted a japanese experience, this is it. It truly has everything you could possibly need, especially when it comes to food and location. I had their kaiseki, which was an experience i never imagined. Others had shibu and had an incredible meal that seemed endless! If youre looking to take lots of beautiful pictures in the yukatas they lend you, the garden rooms are also very worthwhile!.

A delicious japanese vegetarian restaurant serves a variety of set meals in the style of kaiseki. Their bento box with three layers is more wellknown. Although not exceptional, the food and its preparation are tasty and wellmade. You must remove your shoes because the main dining area is entirely made of wood. Additionally, there is tastier garden and stocked kanoi pond on the deck that faces the expansive, lovely garden. Recommended for those looking for fewer options than the typical soba or tofu shop.

We spent one night in a japanese room with ionosen, and we had utterly adored it! The garden is lovely, the room was really cozy. I heartily advise using the private onsan! We ordered the kaiseki dinner for breakfast and dinner, which were both excellent.

The only drawback is that getting to the hotel requires you to take a taxi, as it is difficult to find and youll have to walk around 800 meters with luggage, making travel difficult. We were given secluded hot spring room, which had an amazing outlook, excellent service, and delicious food.

Mulai 01 Maret 2026, perubahan peraturan pajak daerah mewajibkan tamu untuk membayar pajak akomodasi dengan tarif terbaru, yang akan dipungut secara terpisah oleh akomodasi pada saat proses check-in. Pajak ini ditentukan berdasarkan tarif kamar dan dikenakan per orang, per malam, sebagai berikut:

【Pajak akomodasi hingga 28 Februari 2026】
Untuk tarif kamar kurang dari JPY 20.000: JPY 200
Untuk tarif kamar mulai JPY 20.000 hingga kurang dari JPY 50.000: JPY 500
Untuk tarif kamar JPY 50.000 atau lebih: JPY 1.000

【Pajak akomodasi mulai 01 Maret 2026 dan seterusnya】
Untuk tarif kamar kurang dari JPY 6.000: JPY 200
Untuk tarif kamar mulai JPY 6.000 hingga kurang dari JPY 20.000: JPY 400
Untuk tarif kamar mulai JPY 20.000 hingga kurang dari JPY 50.000: JPY 1.000
Untuk tarif kamar mulai JPY 50.000 hingga kurang dari JPY 100.000: JPY 4.000
Untuk tarif kamar JPY 100.000 atau lebih: JPY 10.000

Untuk keperluan pajak akomodasi, istilah “biaya akomodasi” mengacu pada tarif kamar saja, tidak termasuk biaya makan dan pajak konsumsi.
Silakan lakukan pembayaran di akomodasi saat check-in.
Sesuai peraturan pajak setempat, berlaku mulai 1 Oktober 2018, tamu harus membayar pajak akomodasi langsung ke properti saat check-in (per orang per malam):
Pajak sebesar JPY 200 – untuk tarif kamar kurang dari atau sama dengan JPY 19.999 per malam.
Pajak sebesar JPY 500 – untuk tarif kamar antara JPY 20.000 sampai JPY 49.999 per malam.
Pajak sebesar JPY 1.000 – untuk tarif kamar JPY 50.000 atau lebih per malam.
Tamu yang memesan kamar dengan makan malam wajib melakukan check-in sebelum pukul 17:00. Apabila tidak, maka makan malam tidak dapat disajikan dan tidak ada pengembalian uang.
