Amazing place to stay in Kyoto. Convenient, easy access to buses and trains, and is walkable to convenience stores and supermarkets! The staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also delicious! Definitely recommend, 10/10!

Beautiful ryokan! Has the perfect balance between tradition Japanese style house and modern twist. The private onsen was amazing, the washing machine in the house was so convenient and easy to use (with the help of Google translate) multiple bathrooms, and ampule of space. The small kitchenette with a fridge also included. I would recommend this place to any traveller. Theres nothing to complain about.

If you are looking for a luxurious, private ryokan-style experience with modern tech, book Rojiyu Kyoto immediately. The two-story villa is spotless, beautifully designed, and remarkably quiet. Having a kitchenette was incredibly convenient, and the in-unit washer/dryer was an absolute lifesaver for our travels! To top it all off, soaking in our own private outdoor open-air bath was unforgettable, and the staff were incredibly friendly. A perfect 10/10 stay!

Had a wonderful stay in the sakura room. The private open-air bath was beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast was lovely, and slightly different each day. Very helpful staff.

Beautiful place very clean and helpful staff. My only complaint is the hot water heater system. You have to press a button to turn it on to get desired temperature and was constantly causing me problems trying to use it. My outdoor tub also leaked from faucet anytime while using it. Small imperfections but for over $500 a night needs to be addressed.

Superb property. Extremely spacious. Clean. Loved the indoor and outdoor baths. Beds were comfortable. The laundry machine was a great bonus. They restocked water and coffee and tea. Location was also great.

Such an amazing place that was beyond our expectations! A really beautiful stay for a couple or family with lots of room and a private outside bath. The staff were amazing and the Japanese breakfast was excellent. Would stay again for sure.

The unit was beautiful and was exactly the traditional style we were looking for. A little ways from historic Kyoto but easy to get to in 15 minutes. Sleeping with eye masks helped block the outdoor light in the morning. I wish there were directions for the washer dryer and that the a/c directions were a little more clear. Other than that it was a beautiful spacious stay and shower and onsen were perfect!

Our stay at Rojiyu Ryokan in Kyoto was absolutely fantastic. The property is beautiful, serene, and offers a truly authentic traditional Japanese experience. The rooms are very spacious, which made it especially comfortable for our family. The attention to detail throughout the ryokan is impressive—from the design to the overall atmosphere, everything feels thoughtfully curated and peaceful. The staff were incredibly attentive, warm, and friendly, always going out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed and cared for. I would highly recommend Rojiyu to anyone visiting Kyoto, and even more so for families looking for a spacious, traditional, and memorable stay.

Love this property. Such a lovely Japanese style suite with a private onsen. The washer and dryer came in very handy. The shower room was beautiful - made in all wood. Plenty of space for our family of 4.

Beautiful property. We loved staying here. We had the traditional Japanese breakfast for one of our mornings and it was excellent (though it came earlier than expected). Having 2 bathrooms was great so parents can have their own while the kids had another. The shower/bathing room was nice and spacious. We really enjoyed the outdoor deep soaker tub as well (though we don’t realize the water temperature was controlled in the shower room until our second night). The location was quick to get to a train station and was close to convenience stores like 7-eleven and Family Mart. We were able to take the train to Osaka with all of our luggage directly from the train station nearest to us, which was great for our checkout. We also made use of the in-suite laundry so we could refresh our clothes for the second half of our trip. Staff was very friendly as well, and quite helpful. They also provided umbrellas for us to use while we were there which came in handy during our stay. Highly recommend staying here.

시설 깨끗하고 노천탕에서 따뜻한 물에 쉴 수 있어서 너무 좋았습니다. 짐도 미리 보관 가능하고 관광할 수 있어서 너무 편했구요. 주변은 조용하고 골목이 이뻐서 아침 일찍 산책하기도 좋아 편하게 묵다가 갑니다.
