Given what I paid per night, I felt it was definitely worth it. First of all, the location is excellent. It put me at ease that I could simply walk to Kyoto station and without worry that a delayed bus might disrupt my travel timing. They make tea available plus have a really nice coffee machine guests can freely use. Borrowing a yukata at no extra charge is great with the public bath (included with stay). There is a rooftop patio that is beautiful at night time - I really love their set up with the softly glowing lights and patio furniture. They also have a little café with mini retro games, though I didn't try them. I did end up buying an extremely cute fox stress ball from their gift shop (I never saw this fox ball anywhere else)! The rooms are not updated, yet have air conditioning, mini fridge, a strong safe, and good racks for storage/hanging. It is an old establishment, so of course there is visible wear and tear, but given the price point, it is in reasonable condition. I actually had a more comfortable sleep on the futon at this ryokan than a different expensive one. The staff are extremely kind and accommodating - I arrived 2 hours before check-in thinking to just leave my luggage, but they instead got my room ready in just a few minutes! I asked for a towel to wipe off the rain from my luggage and they did it for me!! Plus they are very responsive to feedback - I wrote in about a couple issues, and by the next day they were all addressed. The staff are the best!!

It's Kyoto, you're going to walk regardless. My room was close to the smoking balcony, so you can catch a whip because it can go through the aircon vent. Free coffee, tea, and hot water. Great curry and ramen restaurants a few blocks away. Overall 10/10

Lovely traditional style hotel! The room has a very nice homely feeling and the beds are very comfortable. The location is also 15 minutes walking distance from Kyoto Station and is right across the road from the serene Nishi Hongan-ji Temple.

I enjoyed staying in this ryokan, with tatami flooring and futon bed. There was a small private bathroom with bath/shower as well as a larger communal bathroom. The room had everything I needed and even a view of the amazing shrine next door.

Aku sudah menggunakannya beberapa kali untuk bekerja. Aku ingin tahu apakah keadaannya sudah berubah sekarang. Pemilik di sini terlihat seperti seseorang dari Kyoto dan aku merasa takut berkali-kali. Sulit bagi wanita muda yang berpendidikan rendah sepertiku, tetapi atasanku yang lebih tua dan berkuasa melayaniku dengan senyuman. Makanannya enak, sukiyaki daging sapi Omi sangat lezat. Jika Anda ingin mengunjungi Onishi-san di pagi hari, lokasinya adalah.

The hotel is oldfashioned. The toilets are outside in the winter and difficult to use. Bathroom is also one problem. Foreigners may try it in the summer. But the staff is very friendly.

因為我們在京都旅遊淡季入住，因此住宿的人似乎很少，附近周遭人不像車站那樣繁忙。我們這次是訂沒有配置廁所的禁菸房(房號是203)，入住前看網路上的評價，本來有點擔心在大馬路旁邊會有點吵，不過我們運氣很好203不是靠著馬路所以很安靜。沒有配置廁所(房間內只有一個洗手台)，因此去公共澡堂(分男女 大家都坐著洗 洗完還有一池熱水可以泡)洗澡，也是因為住宿的人不多，蠻乾淨的，很貼近日本當地的體驗，入住時還可以免費借用日式浴衣。櫃檯的服務人員(我們只遇到其中一個)，很親切，英語溝通很容易。房間內就是整間榻榻米、一張桌子、好幾張和室椅、床墊棉被枕頭，什麼東西要放哪睡哪自己決定。一樓的公共空間有飲水機、熱水壺、免費茶包咖啡。盥洗用具(毛巾牙刷牙膏shampoo bodysoap facewashingfoam 澡堂或房間裡都有提供。有電梯。 整體而言這個價錢能買到這樣的住宿經驗還不錯。 只是在住和室就是什麼事都坐在地板上，起身不方便的人可能會有點辛苦。 交通方面，離京都車站不遠，但就是大概要走個八九分鐘；要搭公車的話也是大概要走八九分鐘，比較近的205也是要走個五分鐘，門口那條路有兩線公車經過但是我旅遊兩天都用不上，走遠一點去別站比較實在。附近有Family還有一家超市，附近的七條路上也有一些吃的。對面西本願寺早上起來也能逛逛。

房間雖小但設備齊全，旅館的職員也很熱心。 在jr京都駅可搭28號或9號巴士，坐一個站到西本願寺站下車。走路的話則可以從京都駅走大概10分鐘。旅館前也有巴士出入，很方便。

I was able to wash and rest whenever i wanted because the lodging was immaculate and the bathing facilities were excellent. It was really simple to check in and out because there was also a manual in korea.

The staff was very friendly and gave us a free upgrade to a room with a private toilet and bath! The price of the room was great! The tatami floor was very comfortable. The location is not near common tourist spots, but it is quite central and easy to get around.

The hotel has a very japanese concept. You can come and live in a japanesestyle house. You can bathe in the public bath in the bathroom. You will receive free yukata pajamas. The room resembles the house seen in the anime. It is strongly advised!.

Anak berusia 13 tahun dan lebih dianggap sebagai tamu dewasa.
Anak berusia 7 hingga 12 tahun akan dikenakan biaya sebesar 70% dari harga dewasa ketika menggunakan ranjang yang telah tersedia.
Ketika memesan 4 kamar atau lebih, kebijakan yang berbeda-beda serta hal tambahan lainnya akan berlaku.
Mulai 01 Maret 2026, perubahan peraturan pajak lokal mewajibkan tamu untuk membayar pajak akomodasi dengan tarif terbaru, yang akan dipungut secara terpisah oleh akomodasi pada saat proses check-in. Pajak ini ditentukan berdasarkan tarif kamar dan dikenakan per orang, per malam, sebagai berikut:

Untuk tarif kamar kurang dari JPY 20.000: JPY 200
Untuk tarif kamar mulai JPY 20.000 hingga kurang dari JPY 50.000: JPY 500
Untuk tarif kamar JPY 50.000 atau lebih: JPY 1.000

【Pajak akomodasi mulai 01 Maret 2026 dan seterusnya】
Untuk tarif kamar kurang dari JPY 6.000: JPY 200
Untuk tarif kamar mulai JPY 6.000 hingga kurang dari JPY 20.000: JPY 400
Untuk tarif kamar mulai JPY 20.000 hingga kurang dari JPY 50.000: JPY 1.000
Untuk tarif kamar mulai JPY 50.000 hingga kurang dari JPY 100.000: JPY 4.000
Untuk tarif kamar JPY 100.000 atau lebih: JPY 10.000

Untuk keperluan pajak akomodasi, istilah “biaya akomodasi” mengacu pada tarif kamar saja, tidak termasuk biaya makan dan pajak konsumsi.
Silakan lakukan pembayaran di akomodasi saat check-in.
Satu anak di bawah usia 7 tahun dapat menginap gratis apabila menggunakan ranjang yang telah ada.
Sesuai peraturan pajak setempat, berlaku mulai 1 Oktober 2018, tamu harus membayar pajak akomodasi langsung ke properti saat check-in (per orang per malam):
