When we went to see the snow monkeys on our recent trip, our guide was able to reserve one room for us since they weren't being used by visitors. We were so happy we could have stayed here for a few nights thanks to the excellent facilities and welcoming staff. The next time we visit town, I will most definitely stay here. Excellent advice.

We chose Sakaeya Shifu Hotel because of it's position in the heart of the village and its proximity to the train station and monkey park. The staff was very nice and the traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner were fantastic. The rooms were very large traditional Japanese style bedrooms with futons on the floor. There is also a lot of storage space here. There was a private toilet but no shower or bath. Despite that, the onset was so close to us that it made us prefer using it over taking a shower. We had never used an onset before, and it made us preferred it whenever it was available elsewhere. Additionally, the room was a place where you could sit and paint or have coffee. We stayed for hours because of the monkeys at the park because of how fascinating they were.

What makes this innryokan different is the exquisite and meticulous maintenance. The staff is dedicated to making the visitors stay unforgettable. We had previously remained there, and we had loved it there. The standards were as excellent as before this time. The lavishly furnished guest room, which was much larger than most rooms in Japanese hotels, was the epitome of comfort and elegance, combining westernstyle bed linens with japanese tatami mats. The gracious seating space contributed to the sultry and gorgeous evening supper kiseki. The outdoor boxspring bathtubs rotemburos, one for men and one for women, were as relaxing as can be imagined. After dinner, it was a joy taking in the beautiful village alley in front of the inn, where our group, like everyone else, dressed in the provided cotton kimonos, yukatas, and slippers, taking a small, charmingly oldfashioned foot bath not far from the inn, or visiting a few of the rural public baths that roman customers use.

We stayed in a standard room, which was very peaceful, comfy, and clean. They created the futon beds for us. Because the weather was so pleasant, we didn't require any heating or air conditioning. The room itself is spacious and large. They had a coffee kettle there if you wanted. Breakfast and dinner are included in a private area just for the group members. They also bring your courses one by one, although I couldn't eat anymore, but the food was excellent. I think there might be more vegetarian options, but both ways the food was quite filling and delicious. I couldn't eat lunch because it was so filling! I believe teaching individuals how to eat certain foods or what it is so easy would have made it more enjoyable. But aside from that it was amazing. The staff was very friendly! I think one more thing that could have made it better was to instruct people like me how to eat certain foods or what exactly it is so that we could know what to do. They have both indoor and outdoor starting points that are separate for men and women. The hotel is about a 4045 minute walk from the snow monkey park, and it takes some uphill walking. There is also a bus you can take. The hotel is a fantastic location! It was relatively easy to travel from yudanaka to the hotel. On some days, it was raining, but

I had a great experience and would definitely come back to do so again. Outstanding service and food. We had breakfast and dinner there for two nights, the first night and morning were especially good because they were traditional Japanese. The second day was fusion food, which was excellent but less impressive because we are from Western countries where fusion is done exceptionally well. Many employees had trouble speaking English, but overall it was a great experience.
