Before leaving to Kyoto, we spent one night at Tatami. The station or tatami station have a long climb up to get to the hotel. Due to the steep, winding route, there is free parking available and strongly advised using a vehicle to get to this hotel. Our room has a beautiful view. To our astonishment, our room lacks a shower. Only a sink and a toilet. As a result, if you want to shower, you must go to the box spring. Because they did state it on the website when we made our reservation, I believe we overlooked it. Since there aren't many showers available in a specific room, both the dinner and breakfast are incredibly delicious. Its a Japanese concept but with a mordenwestern touch. We admire it. The food is delicious and fresh. To ensure that not everyone arrives at the same time, dinner and brunch are served at specified times. Boxspring is both an indoor and outdoor hot spring, a jacuzzi, and a sauna. It's fairly tiny, yet lovely. Personnel is pleasant and speaks good English. They work very hard to explain each dish at dinner and breakfast. Other than that, the foot hot spring is excellent, and you can unwind while enjoying the ocean view. Also, you can pick your own colorpatten of Kata Plus, which is lovely.
