-A traditional, neat Ryokan which run by a three gen family. -The family is very hospitable. -You can visit 3 share onsen freely by stay in the Ryokan. -Don't miss the dinner and breakfast which prepare by the owner. Very fresh ingredient with huge amount of dishes and please make space from your stomach before the meal.

The place was beautiful, the pictures just don't even seem like the right place. The rooms were next to a stream and walking in you feel like you're going back in time, walking over covered bridges and rustic tatami-matted floors. The grounds were just as charming and the onsens were our favorite in Japan (and we like going to onsens all over Japan). Particularly a tiny one tucked in a corner where a cold water stream ran right next to the onsen so you can go back and forth, covered by a lovely momiji tree and a little wooden fence around it- sheer onsen magic on a sunny day or a quiet bulb-lit night. Our room was beautiful as well, with the heath in the middle, costly but so worth it! The wifi was great (we did skype calls from there) and we scarcely even left the facility (only one day for a hike) because the onsens were so wonderful to go to! Meals were good, the only downside was that they were so large we overate at every meal. Service was warm and unobtrusive and they tried hard to understand our barely serviceable Japanese.

お料理が美味しく、女将さんをはじめ皆様がとても笑顔が素敵で親切で優しい方々でした。また、英語でのサービスもでき外国人の旅行者も安心して利用できます。また、バスターミナルまで徒歩3分、そしてすぐ近くに公共浴場、レストラン、お土産屋さんがあり、立地がとても良いです。

Nice family owned Japanese traditional style hotel. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Very central location -5 to 10 minutes walk to the Ropeways and 3 mins walk to the bus terminal. Also lots of hot springs around and the ryokan is reasonably priced compared to the other hotels. The meals served were tasty. I had a very comfortable stay.

The small size is comfortable, and the owners' family was very friendly, and the food at dinner and breakfast was delicious. No private toilet or bathroom in the room. However, you can enjoy it as well. I also give a free coupon for 3 nearby public bathrooms.

We are an Australian family of four, with the kids still being adults, which makes us decide to stay at the zoo for skiing and a true Roman experience. We have had a fantastic time living at this Roman. We all had a wonderful time sleeping together in a tatami room, experiencing the in-house start and enjoying the beautifully prepared and delicious breakfasts and dinners. The meals are excellent. The village of zoo is interesting to stroll through and spend time in for the noisier member of our family. I and the other three have spent two full days skiing and snowboarding and don't want to go. This location is fantastic. I'm guessing it would be challenging for western solo travelers to get there due to the almost complete lack of English, but if you can make it happen, it's well worth the journey. We took a private car from Fukushima, and our adult son, who works in Japan, was a translator, making everything possible.

In general, Id strongly recommend it to anyone looking for lodging in the zoo onset area. Excellent service from the lovely Roman family. The owner was very welcoming and fluent in English. There is a public bath in the Romans with an onset, but be aware that they dont have natural sulfur. Around the inn, there are three free public baths that are of similar size to those in the Romans and have no bathing facilities. Id advise avoiding those and opting for one with an outdoor start and better amenities. Most of them are close to 630 pm in the winter. We opted for a hearty breakfast. The male owner? I noticed I had brought a packet of milk down and offered us additional glasses for the milk. Very thoughtful. The bus stop was a short distance away and the zoo ski resort causeway were both near the inn. The inn is a short distance away, as are numerous restaurants and a dawson time to walk from. His recommendation for one of the ramen restaurant just opened on December 19 th it was delectable and only a short distance away and served till 10 p.m. he highly advised

This is a nice family run restaurant with delicious food. If you want to stay at this place, don't forget to sign up for the 2 meal stay package breakfastdinner. You will not be disappointed by the excellent food here. Also, there aren't many restaurants in this town. You will share a bathroom and use a communal bathroom. The room is a good size and in Japanese fashion, so you will sleep on the floor. The location is in the center of onset street. It's really simple to walk around the small town. The ski lift is only a 10 minute walk away, while the main new street with a convenience shop is a 10-minute walk away.
