The location is excellent, with cool little shops close by for souvenirs and a really scenic area to walk around. Its also conveniently close to narita airport. Very pleasant and has incredibly retro vibes. The staff was amiable and supportive.4,6/57 Agt 2024

The breakfast is delicious and served in the room. This is my first time staying in japan. It was fun to learn about the typical japonic hotel. We got a room with its own bathroom because it seemed simpler. They leave robes and hot water in front of the hall, and there is tea in this room too. Overall, i had t hor experience.4,6/52 Feb 2024

We would recommend this place to both tourists and locals! We had a great time at wakamatsu hoten. During our lengthy layover at narita airport, we spent the night there. It was only rerouted through the charming town and easily accessible by train. Even at night, it felt secure to stroll there because we are visiting americans and loved the traditional layout of the rooms. The front desk staff spoke english and were happy to check us in, give us hints, and answer our questions without any issues. Our stay included dinner, which was incredibly delicious local cuisine, where we sampled tastiest of everything they had prepared for us. After boarding countless flights to decompress, the public bath was an unusual experience for me, especially since i had to take pause to unwind.4,6/526 Nov 2023

Im unable to think of anything negative to say about my stay. The onsen was fantastic, the room was excellent. I only stayed for one night, which was my only regret. There was an amazing view, a fantastic setting, and incredibly wonderful onset.4,6/59 Jul 2023

After many years, i decided to return to this ryokan, and it hasnt changed much. The room type is very spacious, with one room and two meals. Dinner and breakfast are all served in the room. We stayed at this lovely establishment for two nights and highly recommend this authenticated hoten resort for its superior customer service. The hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel at home, especially ms. Chen and the dining staff i left my purse in the eating room with cash and passport and it was easily retrieved shortly after thanks to them! The hotels location is less than 10 minutes from the famous naritasan shiji temple. Naturally the building has history but is clean and tidy. Comfortable platform beds are provided on traditional japanese tatami with traditional tea sets and tea. You take a shower or bath in public areas, which may take some getting used to, but its the way of the Japanese way. Bathing area is open 24 hours if you are super shy. Dinner and breakfast are both traditional american set style with local ingredients, many varieties and all so delicious and picturesque! Streets in front of our hotel are full of small traditional shops and restaurants and cafes, and one can easily spend the day exploring through them. Narita feels like chinese culture. Its great for brisk 1 or 2 night trips before hoping to get off or off the plane. Still quite unknown, peace and quiet in comparison to major tourist attractions. We stayed here because we had to be at 630 am the next day at napura airport. The neighborhood was charming and pleasant, with small shops and cafes. Our room had no shower, only a toilet, and the lodging was clean and comfortable. We went to the hotels indoor public bath to take ocular showers and cool off. Overall, it was incredibly enjoyable! We appreciate the receptions assistance in calling cabs to get us to and from the airport in the morning.4,4/525 Jun 2024

The nrt airport is just one train stop away from the lovely naga town, which has excellent lastminute souvenir shopping, a lovely temple, and secluded woodland where the fall leaves were the most beautiful. This hotel offers an excellent traditional japanese experience at incredibly affordable prices, including accommodation, sitting, sleeping, wearing yukata robes and sandals, as well as traditional breakfast and dinner. The entrance to the temple is visible from your room. Breakfast and meal were undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip because they were entirely traditional. Although our room had sanitary facilities and sink, the bath was merely utilised naked public onsen, so you should take this into account if it makes you uncomfortable. When we arrive at end of ndt, we will most certainly stay here again.4,4/54 Jan 2024

This traditional japanese inn is located directly across from naritasan shisho temple, nestled into a charming little town that has thrived for centuries. Traditional janese hotels typically offer tamami rooms, luxurious baths, and delicious food, but the evening meal served here stood out above all others. It included eel, formerly known as nagi specialties, local grilled beef sukiyaki, various vegetables, rice grown in the chiba prefecture, among other things. You can taste authentic japarian cuisine because it is hearty and delectable. With the large temple so close by, walking is also advisable. The main hall and fivestory papplication are not missing, however, the park further back on the grounds is recommendable to visit. Changes occur in seasons with the flowers and ponds. Before heading into tokyo, it makes the ideal location to unwind after horded flight, shop, explore, or experience genuine jalapennial culture because niziki airport is so nearby.4,4/528 Nov 2023

Excellent hotel with a traditional japanese vibe. Situated close to several small shops and directly across from the naritasan temples. About ten minutes walk from nagi train station. If you have tad of luggage, i recommend taking cabs there. There are several restaurants near and in front of the train stop. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and had an attitude that seemed long forgotten. In comparison to the standard hotel rooms in tokyo, the room was very lovely and roomy. A sitting area, as well as en suite bathrooms, are all included. Hotel has utensils in onsen style. Very tidy. To experience traditional Japanese cuisine, I advise including the breakfast and dinner meal plan when making reservations. They also offer reserving if you want to eat fried rice. We will return on our next trip to japonia! This hotel did not let me down! On our subsequent trip back to china, well stay again. It is important to note that the hotel offers onsite shuttle service to get to your train terminal upon checkout.
