We Americans stayed here for 2 nights. Highly recommended. Great cultural experience for those looking for an authentic ryokan in an older style building with communal bathing facilities. Japanese breakfast was really fun but I had little idea what I was eating. Go with an open mind! I was glad there were a couple of very helpful staff who spoke some English. Otherwise, it looked like all local Japanese guests there!

舊式的旅館，溫泉有室內外，食物非常美味，價錢相宜，非常乾淨，如果想體驗日本人旅遊，八時準時吃早飯，晚上六時準時吃晚餐，我大力推薦。

The whole experience of staying here was fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and dinner was a great experience. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a smoking room and as non-smokers we pleasantly surprised when we arrived and could not smell smoke in the room. Although you have a toilet and sink in the room, there was no shower so you must enjoy the onsen experience if you want to wash. The local area was quiet and there isn't much to do in the evening but I would thoroughly recommend a stay here if you want a more local/traditional experience.

Although the hotel is located a little far from the main street and close to a small river, it always promises a pleasant start to the day. On all premises, the wifi network is outstanding. Traditional Japanese cuisine dominates the evening meal while some western-style dishes are available. Although wine enthusiasts would be disappointed, the selection of beverages is acceptable. From Yawara station, a shuttle bus is available. You may experience arrival for a longer time because checking begins at 1400, an hour earlier than standard hotels. Don't forget outside beginning, where many stars and planets will stare at you at night.

Despite being 10 minutes' walk from the city's core, this charming hotel is truly typical of Japanese culture. I stayed with my family and had a large room with tatami. Great! Very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly, though their English isn't much spoken. For 2 days there we were the only Caucasian. A parking area is available at this hotel. The cuisine is excellent and includes half board. The dinner is only served at 6.30 pm, but what's wrong with it? The exterior of the building is a little monotonous, but who cares if you stay inside? Take note that credit cards are not accepted.

As you leave yawara town and head toward the beginning, the hotel is situated on a hill. It has an aggressive exterior, not uncommon in Japan. We drove into the parking lot when we got there, where a party of 9 8 Japanese and I, who were planning to celebrate a grand old ladys birthday, was packing up. Unfailingly and appropriately, a sombre male receptionist! asked for the car keys so that the cars could be parked to the hotels liking, but gave no serious greeting. In the lobby, sourpuss personnel was also ready for us. We were told about meal times, the fact that the hotel closed at 11 a. M. And it would be difficult to enter and most importantly for us, the entrance of the private mixed access family. There is one of these, which is practical. The key must be obtained from and returned to the front desk. We quickly realized that this was a small space and was unintentional. The tempura was cold. Although the miso soup had only two local mushrooms per serving. Although the tea was ineffective, it wasn't green tea as one would have liked. Why would breakfast have been anything different the following morning? The chilly slice of fried salmon was burned between the edges. I didn't dare ask for a second serving of miso soup. This place is recommended. This place has a good location with a balcony and a clean modern room. Not far from the beaten track, yet still still peaceful. I was captivated by the hot spring baths, it was a new experience that was very important for us.
