Absolutely wonderful, spectacularly restored and modernized traditional riad in the Medina. Omar is super nice and multilingual. The owner was very interesting to speak with and super nice, as well. We were just amazed by the detailed, beautiful restoration work (and original tiling) that was done in this riad. They are rightfully proud of it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Riyad Mazar. The staff and owners treated us like family. Location was great and highly recommend it. Helpful staff helped us arrange for a driver and a guide for the Medina. Laundry service was provided with a small extra fee. We watched World Cup games in the courtyard with the owners. We appreciated the hospitality and look forward to returning there again for a future visit to Fes.

The hotel has beautiful décor that truly makes you want to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. The owner and the staff are wonderfully kind, which makes the experience feel very welcoming. As a small suggestion, it would be very helpful to have an iron available for guests. I understand that it’s not currently provided, but it would be a thoughtful addition many would appreciate.

If someone wants to see true Moroccan beautiful architecture, this palace -like riad is a good place to stay . I really appreciated calm , well designed and cared facility with samples of art work and traditional clothing on walls like a museum.

If I could, I would give more than 5 stars for this breathtaking riad in the old city Fes. If you are a frequent traveler, you probably have have experienced the catfish aspect of a property posting it's unrealistically beautiful pictures on these platforms. Riad Mazar Fes is the exception. Pictures don't do justice to how beautiful this exceptionally build and meticulously maintained riad. And that is not the best thing about it. For starters, it's people tops the charts. Owner of the place Mr. Khaled treated us like family. He gave us time and attention, giving us a background of the place he build from ruins to a palace like riad. Being an arts and antiquities collector shows in his attention to detail here. He selected a wonderful staff too. Omar at the front desk couldn't be any nicer. He was willing to go above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Having stayed in a riad before, I was afraid that our room would be another old and uncomfortable space. It was surprisingly very modern and had all the comforts of a 5 star hotel. Daily clean towels and sheets, clean bathroom, fridge, TV, A/C, hairdryer, you name it, it has it. I can name a few top name hotel chains that are not as clean and comfortable as the room we had. Location is a walking distance to all attractions in Fes including the market, tanneries and historic sites, at thhe same time avoiding the noise and insccesiblity. You can park your car right in front of the property. I highly recommend it.

Exceptional riad. We had a fantastic stay. Location was perfect as it allowed access to the souks without being in the middle of all the souk activities. We found breakfast to be non on par with other riads we stayed during our trip across Morocco, but still a 4 out of 5.

We stayed a week at Riad Mazar, and it was really magical! Not only every corner is a piece of art and magnificent; but also all the staff is extremely kind, welcoming and warm. Staying at Riad Mazar is becoming part of a family. The room was always spotless, the breakfast delicious and a variety of options everyday. In terms of location, a big advantage of Riad Mazar is that it’s at the entrance of the medina which is very practical and makes a big difference. The staff also gave us very good recommendations for our stay. I highly recommend Riad Mazar, and will definitely be back!

Riad Mazar is a gem! More like a palace or a museum than a hotel. An immaculately clean, beautiful and quiet oasis where you’ll be treated like a prince by competent and accommodating staff that speaks excellent English. They made arrangements for transportation, a guide and a spa (hammam) which were all outstanding. The breakfast was very basic, but lots of eating choices outside.

Riad Mazar is a beautiful riad with fantastic staff. Every corner is a piece of art and so well maintained. The location is very convenient if you are renting a car or getting dropped off or picked up from the Riad. You will not need to drag your luggage in the streets and 5 minute walk to the old Medina. The breakfast was nice and freshly made. We would definitely go back given the chance!
