After encountering bears, we stayed at Lakeview Lodge. The owner joanne and Jon had been very thoughtful in creating the property, which consists of two modern cottages on the top of a hill overlooking lake Karapiro. You can find all the comforts and equipment you need to have a wonderful time while staying in this self-catered accommodation. The breakfast basket is excellent, and it is rich in fresh farm produce. This location is ideal if you are traveling with friends or family, and I would highly suggest staying for at least 23 nights as there is a lot to do in the area. Last but not least, don't miss the farm trip with Joanne, who will show you around the property and share her passion!.

We stayed in Huntington at the last minute on our journey to New Plymouth. When we arrived, we had the unique impression that the house was actually part of the lodge. There were two rooms with lovely views, three bathrooms, and a toilet, with a washer and dryer in the unit. The bathrooms had a ton of amenities. The large square dining table can accommodate up to 10 people. We were able to cook or even bake in-house in the fully equipped kitchen. We were given everything we required. There was a continental breakfast basket prepared for us, with a lot of stones fruits, eggs, tomatoes, cornflakes, muesli, and jams in it. The fridge had more than enough butters, two types of milks, and two kinds of juices. There was also a coffee maker with a lot of capsules and teas, and numerous more teas. They were really impressed. The living space was very roomy and featured a very pricey horizontal view of Lake Karapiro. Also, a vintage port wine was given to us. There is lots of parking for our vehicles. We were instructed to pick the fruits on the property in the garden because it was easy to walk around. This gorgeous property was mentioned to be offered for sale. I'm not sure if there will be a chance to return. Joanne was without a doubt

After trying hostels, we stayed at Lakeview Lodge and really enjoyed our time there with the owners, Joanne and Jon. The property, which includes two contemporary cottages, is situated on the top of a hill overlooking Lake Karapiro and has been well designed by the owners. It is very well equipped for self-catering accommodations, with all the comforts and amenities you need for a great time. The breakfast basket is also delicious and full of fresh farm products. If you are travelling with friends or family, this place is ideal and I would highly recommend staying for at least 23 nights because there are many things to do in the area. Last but not least, don't miss the farm tour with Joanne, who will show you around the property and share her passion!

We booked huntington at the last minute on our way to new plymouth. Wow was the only feeling we had when we first entered the house. Actually, it was a lodge. There were 2 rooms with great views, 3 bathrooms, and a toilet. The unit had a washer and dryer. There were plenty of toiletries in the bathrooms. A huge square dining table could seat up to 10 people. We were able to cook in the kitchen in full. Everything we required was provided. We were given a continental breakfast basket with lots of stone fruits, eggs, tomatoes, cornflakes, muesli, and jam in it. The refrigerator had more than enough butters, two types of milks, two types of juices, and two varieties of butters. There was an espresso machine with many capsules and teas in it. They were very impressed. The living space was extremely large and featured a very expensive horizontal view of lake karapiro. We also received vintage port wine. Plenty of parking for our cars. The garden was pleasant to walk around and we were encouraged to pick up the fruits on the grounds. It was reported that this lovely house was on the market for sale. Not sure if there is a chance to return to it hope yes. Joanne was unquestionably a friendly host. Thank you for sharing your beautiful accommodation and offering such warm hospitality.

everything is perfect except for the latest check out time is 10am. 3pm-10am is not enough for enjoy the stay. Another issue is there is no walk-in bathroom in the room. Always enter to the wrong room in the evening.
