This property is an historic mansion converted to "apartments". We did not realize we'd have a kitchen which was a nice plus. The location is perfect for wandering around Evora - just down the hill from the Roman temple and s short walk to the central plaza. There is parking avilalable but it's a 15 minute walk from the parking area to the hotel. We had a one-bedroom suite which was quite comfortable.

Accommodations are exactly as advertised. Central location in Evora, walking distance to everything. Pool was cold however.

We stayed in 4 places during our Portugal trip and this was our favorite. The location is awesome - Evora is not a huge place, and the Rick Steves walking tour goes right past this place. So very easy to walk to all the sites and many restaurants. The manager was wonderful - super friendly and helpful (she helped us find a parking spot for instance). We stayed in a family apartment which was quite spacious with two BRs. Only negative is that there is only one bathroom (which we knew) and one BR is a loft area so you do need to go downstairs to use it in middle of the night. The AC worked great. The courtyard was adorable and if we had stayed longer I could see having lunch or wine hour in that area. We never used the pool so I can't speak to it. One thing to be aware is that if you drive up to drop off your luggage before finding parking, you will need to navigate through standard streets in a walled city, including a breath-holding exit right past the property between two walls. Overall a wonderful stay in a beautiful town.

This is a unique historic enchanting hotel in the beautiful town of Evora, Portugal. Our room was spacious, comfortable, well appointed, with an interesting historical charm. The staff was generous with their time to help us in every possible way. It is just a minutes by walking away from many sites that you will wish to enjoy.

Yes! Stay here. This hotel is wonderful. Great location, beautiful rooms, lovely host and so clean. It is a beautiful old aristocratic house with beautifully designed rooms. Staying here is a must.

If you are planning to visit Evora that is your first great choice. Now make your second by booking at this amazing hotel. It was a former aristocrat’s house being lovingly restored. Our room (which did require some crazy stairs) was clean and spacious. The host was charming and showed us parts of the house being restored. Great location too! My fav hotel!!!!

Check in was easy, sat with Jone (sorry for spelling, pronounced Johnny) who was super friendly. He helped us with our luggage (lots/heavy). This hotel is not just “in” the old town, you are a part of it! Only item to note is that there is no parking at the hotel, we had to pull up and unload and then go park (we found pay parking 1 minute walk away, if we hadn’t found any, apparently the parking is just outside the walls, a few minutes walk). If you plan for it, no problem. We had a one bedroom apartment…very historic while still providing the modern amenities we needed. Sitting in the sunshine in the courtyard enjoying the welcome drink was a highlight. Location is perfect…literally 5 minute walk, to say, the Roman ruins.
