It was well situated, so close to the city that we could easily walk to different restaurants, car rental, excursions and sights to visit. It cost 5 euros per day to park our car in the hotel’s parking lot that was operated with a closed door so no risk of vandalism. You could also come and go all day. The pool and area was really cleaned and well maintained. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I like that they had a bowl at the entrance full of complimentary apples every day. The only negative think I could say was the mattress in our suite with the king size bed. It was not think enough so I could feel the springs on one side. I asked to change the mattress or put a mattress topper but they couldn’t help. We are breakfast there every morning and it was just perfect to start our day with a lot of variety from hot to cold. We ate lunch just once at the hotel and it was good, but the rest of the time ate elsewhere since we had a lot of variety. The dinner they were serving was buffet style and opened only at 7pm which was too late for us.

Great Hotel, could get light refurbishments on the furniture, but overall a great stay. Breakfast should be a little cheaper (not tried, due to the pricing) but bar service is also great insted. Easy checking and good staff, central location was worth.

A pleasant hotel, clean, with a few amenities to make use and a very friendly and helpful staff. Its location is great, just under 10 minutes from the airport and only about 15mins walk to Ponta Delgada Marginal city centre. Overhaul highly recommend and would stay again if I ever visited again Ponta Delgada.

I stayed at the Vila Nova with my elderly parents. What impressed me most was the front desk workers, from the morning staff to the afternoon and night shift. When I checked in the girls noticed my mother was in a wheelchair and changed me to a room that better assists her and a balcony! I wasn't even going ask. Thank you. Breakfast is very filling, rooms were big and quiet, location is great, close to the airport and walking distance to the centre or botanical gardens. I booked hete as it had the best price to meet my needs. A tour bus stop is 1.5 streets away. Very safe, I will only book here my next Ponta Delgada trip

I had an excellent stay at MS Vila Nova. The hotel is clean, well maintained, quiet, and very comfortable. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom spotless. Everything felt organised and easy, which made the stay stress-free. The facilities are solid and deliver great value. What truly stands out, however, is the level of service, particularly from Raquel at reception. She operates at an exceptionally high customer service standard. From the first interaction, she was calm, professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Her communication is clear and reassuring, and she has a natural ability to make guests feel comfortable and valued. It is evident that Raquel knows her role inside out. She works with confidence, efficiency, and precision, while maintaining a warm and approachable manner. She anticipates needs, handles requests smoothly, and ensures everything runs seamlessly. Her presence alone elevates the entire guest experience. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the overall stay exceeded expectations. The hotel is excellent, but Raquel’s professionalism is what makes it truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Clean and comfortable room in a good location. Nice pillows and linens. The thin spring-style mattresses in the twin room seem due to be updated. The hotel itself was very quiet for a Saturday night however a building or car alarm in a nearby street sounded all night long. Odd that police or security could not have put an end to it for the benefit of guests in this hotel, the nearby hotel and really the entire neighbourhood.

I visited this property for the first time in February 2025 it was beautiful really nice staff I go to Portugal a lot and stay at hotels but this was the best one I ever nice it’s only a four minute walk from the city highly recommended thank you s much I felt I was at home .

Freundliches Personal, saubere Unterkunft und nah zur Altstadt. Das Hotel liegt in der Einflugschneise vom Flughahen, hat mich aber nicht sehr gestört. Nachts ist Ruhe.
