The ladies at Solar are beyond amazing. They were extremely helpful and went over and beyond for me and my family. We were so relieved that there English speakers there which made communication that much easier. Will definitely return when in Portugal again.

This beautiful renovated farmhouse is a must if you want to get away from big city life. The town is very quiet and finding dinner is a little difficult as the hotel restaurant is currently not open in evenings. But the breakfast was amazing and all fresh. The pool is beautiful with a view of the surrounding hills. There is not much to do in the town but a piece of quiet and solitude is what we needed. We would stay here again

In this part of very rural Portugal, finding a decent hotel is difficult, but luckily, the local contact recommended Solar Dos Cares to me. We needed to stay for three nights and needed someone comfy, boutique, and not busy. Solar exceeded our expectations with its elegant lobby and log fire, its excellent service, clean, modern, and cozy accommodations. Nice architecture and quality renovations. All three nights, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was excellent and tastefully presented, the menu was very varied for a small restaurant with so many options. We stayed in a room that overlooked the pool and garden, but the other rooms in the main house are also pleasant and even more spacious. We have family living in this area, so we checked out all 8 rooms for future stays. They are all good. We went on a pleasant walk in the woods around the hotel, the location is very peaceful but has little to do. It is worthwhile to mention that the hotel has new ownership and management since October 2020, and the new team is clearly doing a fantastic job. Our stay was wonderful thanks to Pedro at the reception and luis at the restaurant. I will definitely come back and recommend it.

Freundliches Personal, sehr schönes Hotel sowie auch sehr gut eingerichtete Zimmer, ausgezeichnetes Frühstück mit regionalen Produkten. Am Abreisetag mussten wir früh los, uns wurde daher angeboten, dass wir das Frühstück bereits ab 7 Uhr einnehmen konnten (regulär ab 8.30 Uhr).

Para minha surpresa encontrei o Solar dos Cáceres, lugar moderno, confortável e com maravilhosa recepção! Recomendo para quem se interesse em conhecer Portugal do interior!

Ficamos no hotel uma noite quando conhecendo a Serra da Estrela. Chegamos ao final da tarde e usamos as bicicletas oferecidas pelo hotel para conhecer o vilarejo. O hotel era muito elegante e limpo. Ideal para uma noite de descanso.

It is beautifully designed modern hotel that has architectural elements of the old manor house. Very clean and modern in the room. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was exceptionally prepared, in a pretty dining area with views of the vineyards. Overall, great hotel experience.

The architecture here is so stylish, surrounded by stunning scenery. I also got the good service from the owner, but he also does not know how to find this place. Also, the food here is very good, the place makes me feel comfortable and calm, the place is a good place to forget the everyday problems and take time to rest

A very lovely little boutique hotel in the center of a small village surrounded by beautiful forests and countryside. The hotel is an architect designed restored building with all the modern mod cons incorporated into the original walls and very interesting and tastefully done. The rooms are clean, modern, attractive, big and extremely comfortable. We stayed in one of the superior rooms overlooking the garden and pool. We were very welcome and flip and tatiana looked after us very well. The air conditioner worked well, the bathroom was great, more than enough storage, a fridge for us to use, and a small area to sit outside in the evening. The restaurant was beautiful and the food delicious. We loved the freshly made home cooked cuisine, some of which would compare to many michelin restaurants I had eaten at. We were completely catered for even when we needed to get up very early one morning. We also enjoyed playing pool in the bar. Thank you so much for a lovely week and hope to visit again someday.
