The guest home was beautiful with fantastic views. The pool area was also fantastic. We were close enough to get to everywhere but far enough to be away from the hustle of the city. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at African Violets & in Noordhoek. Our Courtyard Cottage was spacious, in excellent condition & had great views to Chapman's Peak & the coastline. The pool area was fabulous with the same great views and plenty of sunbeds & covered comfy seating. Our hot tub was an added luxury which we used most evenings. Finally, Noordhoek was a good location with access to several fabulous beaches, cafes, restaurants & towns. We'd definitely stay again.

Where do I begin? Jen is an absolute delight! From the moment we booked, she was in communication with us. Upon arrival Jen gave us tour of her beautiful property. She provided us with a map, local things to do, and restaurants to try. All her recommendations were spot on! She was a great resource throughout our stay! The room was clean, spacious and provided us with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The actual location of the property is farther away from the center of the city. Although we rented a car and wanted a location farther out from the city, I think it’s important to mention that if you are interested in visiting the V&A waterfront, the botanical gardens, Table Mountain, etc. you will need a rental car for traveling. Jen’s location is super safe. We parked in a gated driveway, accessible through a remote push. The surrounding area is also beautiful and my husband and I never felt unsafe! On the day we left, our flight was departing at 11pm at night. Jen allowed us to stay in the room until we were ready to leave. I remember reading reviews when I was looking for a place to stay for our honeymoon in South Africa and someone mentioned to just book African Violet Suites, that you wouldn’t be disappointed. I am here to say, they were absolutely right! JUST BOOK IT!

I had to go to Johannesburg for school, so then I took a road trip to Cape Town. I chose African Violet because of the great reviews and because it's location was pretty central to everything I wanted to do in the area. The room was beautiful and Jenny the host was very friendly and accommodating. They provided a map and she pointed out places that were recommended. The view was incredible. I'll definitely see if they have a room available the next time I'm in town.

This would be my first review in Hotel.Com as usually I don't write any review of the hotel I stay. Love this hotel very much, the view is amazing, and everything you need is in the room. It's like staying in your own comfort home I would say. And Jennifer is very accommodating, friendly and helpful. She came to our room and explain in details about our room and where to visit and even told us the nearest supermarket to grab some stuff. Would definitely recommend this place to others, and if I come back to Cape Town, I will definitely stay here again, no doubt. Thank you Jennifer, hope to see u again in the future.

Good value for money. Comfortably furnished and tastefully kitted out. A work desk for the business traveller would be great, because I found myself rearranging furniture to create a makeshift desk for myself to work on. Views are great, and the area is quiet. Unfortunately the amount of road construction happening in the area can be tedious, especially during peak hours. WiFi speed was good for work purposes. Only thing that appeared to be lacking was daily cleaning service of the room. My schedule was too hectic to worry about sorting it out with the owner, so there is a chance that it may be available at an extra cost. Same with breakfast.

African Violet is the perfect place to find tranquility, amazing views and Afrocentric artwork! The Terrace Suite was thoughtfully designed with a beautiful interior and infinity pool. We had a great stay! The owners Jenni and Rob are warm, friendly and readily responsive.

Wir bewohnten die Loft-Suite fpr 6 Nächte mit unserem Baby. Es hat an nichts gemangelt. Die Vermieter sind sehr zuvorkommend, geparkt wird auf einem privaten Grundstück und die Anlage ist sehr schön gestaltet. Supermarkt/Mall und gute Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Absolut sichere Gegend. Über den malerischen Chapmans Peak Drive ist man schnell in Kapstadt bzw am Tagelberg. Ebenso sind Ausflugsziele wie zB Cape Point schnell zu erreichen. Die Zimmer/Suiten sind sehr groß, voll ausgestattet und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Wir verbrachten 13 Nächte im African Violet und waren von dem netten, hilfsbereiten und freundlichen Vermietern sehr begeistert. Wir wohnten im Garden Studio, was für uns völlig ausreichend war. Morgens frühstücken wir auf der kleinen Terasse im kleinen Gartenambiente. Es war alles bestens, nur einen Punkt würden wir kritisieren. Es wurde nur einmal in den 14 Tagen gesäubert. Das war schade, wir hätten selbst gesäubert aber die Bedingungen waren fafür nicht vorhanden. Aber gerne würden wir trotzdem wiederkommen.
