What an amazing place! Beautiful rooms, very handy kitchen, lovely views. We adored the place and loved the braai. Wessel is an intelligent man with great love for this place. 10/10 would recommend.

Tolle Lodge, großes Zimmer (3 Betten, kleine eigene Terasse). Etwas entfernt von der nächsten Stadt, jedoch herrliche Lage am Fluß. Top Service: Für das Abendessen wird nach vorheriger Anmeldung frisch eingekauft und vorbereitet. Bin erst abends eingetroffen. Dennoch wurde ich auf die Frage nach einem Sandwich o.ä. mit enem kompletten Abendmenü (Salat, Steak mit Beilagen und einem Desert) überrascht!

Wunderbare Unterkunft. Wir hatten ein ganzes Haus für uns alleine. Die Ausstattung ist sehr modern und gut gepflegt. Jedes Zimmer hat sein eigenes Bad. Für das Grillieren wurde jeden Tag Holz gebracht.

Beatufiul bush hide-away not accessable to the general public. Large spacious and airy rooms. Surrounded by wildlife. Cotages build on the Olifants river with amazing veiws and sounds. Very clean, excellent service, manager amazing and check in process flawless. Self catering with full use of the excllent facilities in catering kitchen with each unit having it´s own grocery shelf and large fridge. Extremely clean throughout. Needs some maintenance on smaller things. Drain at our room needs serious attention.

Wow! You don't need to stay in Kruger to see amazing animals and pay exorbitant prices. The managers here are absolutely lovely and incredible knowledgeable. Went on an incredible tour with them and saw lots of animals. The room was lovely and clean. Great food too. Yay! Would definitely come back and stay. Really really nice people! Oh, and the river right outside your door is awesome for animal watching!

This property is in close proximity to a campground, Hippo Pools and several other places to stay. It is off the highway and you go through several gates before you arrive.

The stay at Bushriver Lodge was awesome. We opted for a self catering room so a bit far away from the main lodge. The view from the room to the river was awesome. There was plenty bird lfe and hippos around. However the greatest surprise was when three elephants roamed around for food to the front of our villa. It was just awesome and unprepared as mother nature can make you feel. Wessels and the people who work at Kingfisher are first class and Wessels is an awesome cook to top it off. The only disadvantage is that Kruger Park is quite far away however i did a day trip to KNP and really enjoyed being at BushRiver.I will definitely go back when vacationing in the area.

Ett underbart ställe, mycket välkomnande. Bra service och mycket god mat till middag som man bokar extra. Avkopplande, litet och trivsamt,vi bokade till en extra natt för vi trivdes så bra.

Nous avons passé un seule nuit à cet établissement mais nous aurions voulu y rester plus longtemps! Surtout que l'accès à ce superbe endroit n'est pas facile car il faut faire quelques kilomètres sur une route non pavée mais ça en vaut la peine. La chambre était très grande et très propre. Nous avions une petite galerie avec une magnifique vue sur la rivière. Il y a des endroits communs pour se faire à manger. Pensez à apporter votre nourriture car il n'y a rien que l'on peut acheter sur place et le chemin pour se rendre à l'épicerie ou au restaurant est plutôt long.

We had a lovely overnight and the manager Wessel was a great host making a lovely local dinner. Beautiful setting in the middle of the bush. We did really struggled to get there after dark. Firstly google maps takes you down the wrong turnoff and then we got lost in the bush. Needs another sign or two.

Ideal für Selbstversorger, riesige komplett eingerichtete Küche steht für alle zur Verfügung.Jeder erhält einen eigenen Kühlschrank. Mann kann perfekt grillen. Es sind günstige und abwechslungsreiche gekühlte Geränke zu günstigen Preisen vorhanden. Saubere gepflegte Zimmer.Schön eingerichtet. Netter Empfang und unkomplizierte Abreise.

Generally a superb experience. The manageress went out of her way to make us comfortable. The room was luxurious and the surrounding wildlife relaxing and fascinating. The only critique I could offer was the bath/shower in the inside bathroom would not convert to shower - the handle could not be pulled up to redirect water flow ro the shower head.

Wir hatten die Kingfisher Cottage. Diese liegt direkt am Fluss, in welchem man sowohl Krokodile als auch Flusspferde beobachten kann. Genial! Man ist dort wirklich für sich allein. Dazu ein Feuer mit dem vorbereiteten Brennholz, Braai und ein Fläschchen Wein (vorher einkaufen gehen!) und der Abend ist perfekt...sehr zu empfehlen! Das Haus ist sauber, groß und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Leider waren wir nur 2 Nächte, aber wir planen auf jedfn Fall wiederzukommen...

Echtes Erlebnis mit aussergewöhnlicher Entspannungsmöglichkeit. Tiere vor der Haustür und excellenten Gastgeber in einem ungewöhlichen Ambiente direkt am Fluss. Jeden Abend wird am offenen Feuer gegrillt -Braai- Kein Allrad notwendig. Man sollte minimum 3 Nächte bleiben.

We booked the Marula camp/rondawel. We struggled to find suitable, affordable accommodation for a family of 5 in Hoedspruit, and we were very grateful that we stumbled across Bush River Lodge. Wessel was a gracious host. The rondawel, which sits on the Olifants river and is spacious and beautifully appointed, including having two bathrooms and braai/fire facilities. The ids enjoyed running around in the garden and exploring. I was also able to go riding in the farm, and I highly recommend that ride.
