Great host with friendly mentality and relaxing attitude. They welcomed us in petson and gave us good hints for nearby restaurants and turistlocations. Restaurants and malls in short driving distance. Ocean 100m from gate and 1min by foot.

Myles ist ein exzellenter Gastgeber und war sehr um unser Wohlergehen bemüht und stand und hat uns viele tolle Tipps gegeben. Cowries Cove hat Charme und ist relativ ruhig gelegen. Zum Strand gibt es einen sehr schönen Zugang

This was our second time staying at Cowrie Cove, and we would definitely stay again! We even stayed in the same fantastic room as before! New owner Milo, was so helpful, sorting out taxis and restaurant tables for us in the Durban/ Umlhanga area throughout our stay.

Lovely property in safe and quiet area. Direct access to beach, although we did not swim there, but very clean. Room was very spacious and comfortable although lacks natural light. Pool area is very nice with loungers and seating, some in a shaded gazebo. There are books and games available. Breakfast catered for us as vegetarians, fruit and cereals plus cooked options. It is fairly easy and cheap to take an Uber to Umhlanga Beach with its malls, restaurants and bars. The beach is nice and you can hire umbrellas and deck chairs. The promenade is nice to walk and leads to a small nature reserve. We liked the fact we stayed outside the beach area as it was so peaceful.

Beautiful and serene environment with a private beach and pool. Friendly staff always ready and available to help. Enjoyed the complimentary all day coffee machine and warm croissants at breakfast! My wife loved the plush bed and hot shower.

The BEST place I think I have ever stayed, hands-down. I’m from Australia & I’m quite fussy about where I stay when I holiday. Caroline was such an amazing host. The group of staff who cooked our breakfast daily & helped with our luggage’s etc. we’re just so amazing.. thank, thank you, thank you for making our stay so memorable. I loved the rooms. Just stunning & the best possible accomodation by far among those in Uhmlanga & La Lucia. Just so comfortable. We were spoilt!!!

The guesthouse was in a beautiful location in a very nice neighbourhood with a private access to the beach. The owner Caroline and all her staff could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful during our stay. The room was huge, luxurious and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was the best English breakfast we had in our entire three week stay in South Africa!

We had an amazing stay at Cowrie Cove Guest house for 10 nights. The bedrooms were fabulous, very clean with the most comfortable beds I have ever found on holiday. Also the breakfasts were excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The beautiful Indian Ocean is within 2 minutes walking distance and our car was safe with on site parking. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I would definitely recommend it. My boyfriend and I had a great time at this five star hotel. The location is beautiful, the owner and staff are very friendly. The trail to the beach was thoughtfully made, making the whole experience magical.

We had a fantastic few days at Cowrie Cove. Our room was very well appointed, with a minifridge and coffee machine. It is very easy to reach the beach for relaxing strolls by the sea. Breakfast was delicious, and there were hot drinks and cookies provided all day in the kitchen. A short uber ride to Umhlanga Rock Restaurant. Would definitely come back!.

I will be making my family far more unhappy like this. The host was very friendly and the house and staff were so beautiful. It was an amazing place to be. I had deluxe sweet and it was worth the price.

This be offers 12 nice to genuinely large rooms in Umhlanga rocks, about 40 yards from the beach our bathroom was humongous and beautiful. The hosts are very nice and they tolerated many dog-related reboots from us and others. Grounds have a nice pool and many cozy reading spaces. Not many games in the house, so bring your own entertainment. Breakfast is great. Cowrie Cove is more than a mile from Umhlanga, and therefore over a mile from any eating or shopping establishment. Uber rides are only about 100 rand round-trip, not compared to 400 I for an urban round-trip. The area has been hit hard by rain, and the beach has a lot of trash on it. The beach is also very narrow and steep, so walking long distances are difficult, but that is not the issue for this establishment.
