Private reserves generally provide the best experience over self-drives or excursions from outside game parks, but they come at a price. Rhino River Lodge fills a good niche by offering full private reserve service at the lower end of the cost scale. Game drives were very good we saw everything we had hoped for, cheetahs, lions, etc. Everyone was cheerful and helpful and the accommodation was good too. The quality of the food was exceptional. The standard was significantly better than any restaurant we ate at during our month away from home. Truly delicious.

The staff here was really polite and knowledgeable. After our brief two nights at rhino river lodge with our 9 and 4 year old children, we will never forget the incredible dinners. They provide so many varieties of food. The game drives were thoroughly detailed with the wildlife we encountered, as well as the small insects and birds we enquired about. There was a lot of practice waiting for Photoshop to be ready. The game drives were guided by a professional who could take great insight into the culture, wildlife, and people of the area.

In November 2022, my spouse and I stayed at this fantastic location for three nights. We wished we had remained longer because everything about our trip was so wonderful. When we arrived, clair, ingrid, steve, smiley, and the rest of the team gave us a warm welcome, and we were shown to our home, which was the homestead from which we had been upgraded. We were taken to a level first-rate homestead and were shown to our suite, which was the cottage we had been upgraded to. We saw so much wildlife from our terrace, and the accommodation is excellent. It truly is an idyllic and tranquil setting. The service is also outstanding, and the food is genuinely excellent. We had a great time going on all of our game drives with stuart, who is extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and goes above and beyond for his guests. We experienced a lot during our stay at anyone thanks to stuart, including a variety of really stunning lion sightings, cheetah, black and white rhino, pangolin, hyena, and many more! It is obvious how hard the entire crew goes to make this such a special place, and we had a great time dealing with other visitors. It was delectable without being pretentious. We will definitely return, and hopefully, soon! We appreciate the wonderful rhino river

Our trip was in St. Lucia for a few days and we wanted a bush experience nearby. So I went out with the lap top and travel advisor and found rhino river lodge. Saint lucia to the lodge is just 100 am, so having spent a few days there it was great to only spend about an hour to get to the lodge. The lodge is just 280 kgs from the urban, making it a wonderful weekend or even longer getaway. From the time we got in, we were stuck in the bush! no cars, but very calm rhinos on a midday walk. They meet you at the front desk. Ingrid, the manager, made us signifying her passion for the place straight away, which was a good sign for a fantastic stay. She introduced us to a ranger who takes care of you, helps you to your room, and explains the layout of the lodge compound. We stayed in the deluxe rooms, which are four rooms divided in a row away from the entertainment, lounge, and dining room. During the day we were there, you are greeted by a log fire outside the main lodge where you can sit and drink a pre-dinner drink and discuss the day's events.
