This was a vacation of a lifetime beginning with four incredible nights at the Shumbalala game reserve. I had to say that from start to finish, I was completely blown away by the wonderful greeting from all the amazing staff, all named by Mike, the amazing, delicious food, the amazing rooms, the depth of warmth provided to us by everyone, and the wealth of knowledge given to us by Barry. I now not only like the majestic big animals, but I can also see and understand the smaller animals without ever wanting to run a mile. To all of Enambala, you gifted me a bit of your land, I've left you a piece of my heart.

They only accommodate 10-12 guests at a time which makes for a very personal experience. Much better than the large group lodges!!!!

The experience here was amazing, in every way! We stayed here on our honeymoon and were greeted by a friendly staff member immediately. During our visit, Carey and Danielle were quite attentive and pleasant to talk to. They took care of us and made our stay special! Our cabin was beautiful and the newly added pools for the cabins were a wonderful addition. The housekeeping staff was superb. The food was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed the daily breakfast specials and lunch and dinner options. We practically saw the big five on day 1 thanks to our guides dave and tracker Sam! The next day, we changed to be followed by Barry and Evans as our guides and tracker, who were equally excellent and made sure we had a wide range of sights on each drive. These guys never cease to amaze us with their ability to locate animals we were eager to see and were extremely knowledgeable. We learned so much and had an experience we will never forget. Drinking from elephants from our pool was a highlight and an amazing moment to share so close to those wonderful creatures! I even cried when we left. Shumballa will always be in our hearts, and we will be back!.

This hotel has a great location, and repeat guests were there. Daniel, the value, Sam, David, and the crew made our vacation a magical experience. The rooms are lovely, very clean, and well-equipped with a private pool. Sams Eagley is an incredible performer. The knowledge about the costs is great. How is it possible to be so close to all these animals? You can hear them breathing. You can find animals like elephants, hippos, lions, and rhinos in front of the lodge. Elephants are coming to drink pool water daily, this is fantastic.

At the end of our family's trip to South Africa, we stayed at this wonderful location, and our time here was unquestionably the best. Our 16-year-old son loved it, and it has given us memories that will be remembered forever. We've read so many reviews to try and find the ideal place for the three of us, and we realize it's challenging to pick one. Look no further than this extraordinary location if you're on a tight budget unless you don't like good food, breathtaking surroundings, the most distinctive personal touches, fantastic lodges, and a lot of wildlife. In that case, go elsewhere thank you to Danielle, Carey, and the entire family who make this location so special. Thank you in particular to our guide, Barry, to Peter, who has learned more than you might have anticipated about things to do with dung and waste. If you're thinking about it.. Just go.

Phenomenal lodge in a magical place run by special people. Superlatives have not been coined to fully describe the experience we have had. We love you Danielle, Carey, Joyce, Debra, Peter, Benny, Irene, Sheila, and all of you. Kindness and kindness above all expectation were shown to us and we will miss you ex.

When one pays a premium price one should get premium service. On this trip I rode rovis rail and stayed in a suite at saxon hotel and villas in johannesburg. These are true 5 star. I know expedia caters to people with lower expectations. They should not rate this place 5 star. The air conditioner doesnt work. You will not be able to sleep.Make sure to ask them for a price list first. They offer you everything and you dont have any idea of what it costs. The food is horrible. Also remember one of your two game drives leaves at 530am. For people who want a true 5 star experience stay away.
