This is a cozy place very near Myeongdong station. The room was clean and near shops, restaurants and transportation. The only downside is that you need to bring your luggage uphill for a bit. I would definitely stay again

There are two mama guesthouses in Myeongdong operated by the same owner. One of them we stayed at had to walk up a small slope and about a 10 minute walk from Myeongdong station. There is no signage on the guesthouse. The owner and family speak English and are friendly. Breakfast, wifi and laundry services are offered. The rooms are very comfortable and cozy.

The hostel was a little difficult to find, and most cab drivers are not aware of where it is. The rooms were fine if only the loft with a bed underneath had more head space! I was the unfortunate one to have a bed under the loft. As a solution, I moved my bed right next to the other bed on the landing to at least sit up without bumping my head on the loft. The floor heating took a while to warm up the room, so you will have to wait a few hours before you can feel the room warming up. Only the man who greeted us shook hands and said he was just just fine during the rest of our stay. They serve bread and hardboiled eggs in the morning, coffee and marmalade for the bread. Very friendly hosts, I must say. It is close to the nasal tower but somewhat far from other tourist attractions. Although it is winter and it is snowing, we prefer to take a cab over walking in the snow and it is winter. I suppose going around the region would be a little easier if it were a different season.

Our first guesthouse was booked three months before our trip despite our last minute rescheduling. Mama Guesthouse welcomed us and greeted us at their modest home. She speaks English fluently and her daughter can speak Japanese as well. They are very kind. Don't expect too much from their breakfast, but you can also have it at a nearby cozy cafe. Avoid Starbucks. I recommend their local coffee shops. Enjoy your trip.

The location is very strategic, in the center of Seoul and not far from many bars and restaurants, but very calm. The room is not very large but comfortable and clean. And the rates of the room are not expensive. I highly recommend this location! We spend time with my friends.

I adored how calm the location is and how close it is to the nasal tower for morning walks, Myeongdong for shopping and sightseeing in the evening and many places I can get to in less than 15 minutes. The guesthouse is immaculately clean, they have a healthy breakfast and a projector where I viewed my favorite movies at night before going to sleep. The family is so nice and always willing to help me with anything I needed. I highly recommend this place for long and short stays.

英語のスタッフがチェックイン対応してくれて、不自由なく過ごせました。部屋は2人分のスーツケースを広げられるだけのスペースがあり居心地もよかったです。水周りが少し古めでしたが値段に対してとても満足なお部屋でした。

チェックイン前、荷物を預かってくれます。明洞まで徒歩圏内で立地が良いです。明洞駅から徒歩で普通に向かうと、坂がかなりキツいので、まずは南山公園と南山駐車場を目指して、エスカレーターを見つけてください。それを利用すれば、楽にホテルまで移動できます。スタッフさんは英語は通じます。日本語は通じません。また、基本的には留守です。ルームメイクの時間帯は、いらっしゃるようです。部屋は清潔感ありましたが掃除を依頼するタグが部屋によっては無い為、連泊の場合はメモ帳など持っていって貼っておくと良いと思いました。

部屋に窓がなく布団が湿っていた。掃除希望の札を出したが、してもらえず３日間そのままだった。エアコンのリモコンは壊れており、部屋の写真は実際とかなりの差があった。

他の方の口コミとおり、チェックイン時には、レセプションに誰もスタッフはおらず、名前と部屋番号の書かれたメモ、キーが置いてあり、セルフチェックインとなります。韓国人は、曖昧な説明でも対応できるのかも知れませんが、各国の方々は、事細かなインストラクション(例えば、タオル交換、部屋清掃が必要な場合は、ドアノブに、デスク引出し内の掲示札を使って、ドア外に意思表示するなど)がないとわからないです。建物は古く綺麗とは言えないですが、タオル、ベッドは清潔。残念なことに、部屋の洗面の配管が繋がっておらず、洗面からの水が床にダダ漏れだったのは問題と思います。あと、浴室の電灯が切れたことをスタッフに伝えたが、「確認します」と言った後に、結局対応してくれませんでした。地下の食堂には、朝、食パンとカップ麺が置いてあり、セルフサービスとなってたのはありがたかった。また、地下には洗濯機があるが、フロントに記載の問い合わせ電話番号(オーナー？)にかけて確認した際には、洗濯機使用不可と強く言われましたが、ゲストハウススタッフに聞くと自由に使って良いとのこと。最後に、宿泊レビューにゲストハウスについて良いことを書いてくれると約束した人には、無料で焼酎プレゼントとの記載があり、不適切だと思いました。
