C’est un tout petit hôtel (4 chambres). Il ne faut pas s’attendre à une chambre parfaite, mais le site sur le frond de mer, le charme de la maison et la gentillesse des tenanciers compensent largement les petites imperfections.

This is not a fancy hotel. It’s a guesthouse in the best possible location, run by nice people and with soft, clean linens and towels. Worth it for the sunset views alone.

古い住宅の２階部分を改装したゲストハウス。旧市街の城壁に面して建っているので、城壁越しにインド洋がよく見えました。屋上は宿泊客に開放されていて、チェアが並べてあってさらに眺望良好でした。旧市街内の宿は値段が高めですが、ここも場所代込みのお値段なのでやや高いです。それでも部屋は清潔で快適だし、スタッフも親切。旧市街のどこにも歩いて便利に行けるので、１泊だけの滞在としては値段も納得しました。朝ご飯は隣接する食堂で出されます。8時からと言われましたが、行ってみたら準備が整ってなくて３０分待たされました。チェックアウトの朝に午後の列車で発つことをスタッフに話したら、若いお兄さんが切符を駅まで買いに走ってくれました。おおむね気持ちよく過ごすことができた宿でした。

Boutique guesthouse with rooftop terrace overlooking the sea, perfect for watching the sunset over Galle Fort. The rooms are basic but clean with everything you need and the service was excellent. The staff could not do enough for us, and I highly recommend asking for a Sri Lankan breakfast (beware, it’s spicy!). The hotel location right on the rampart of the fort is perfect, and the sound of the waves at night is all you will hear as it’s very quiet. Galle itself is a beautiful little town with lots of great eateries and shops. You can while away your days here, or head down the coast to some of the fantastic beaches that are only half an hour away. Loved our time at the Rampart and would definitely stay here again.

Loved it here. Maybe a little busy with for some with the tourists on the ramparts across the road. Great location for exploring the fort town with it's many eating places & small stores & old architecture. The staff were keen to please & friendly.

great ocean view from the room and the rooftop, perfect spot to watch sunset. the guesthouse is in the heart of the fort where all the shops and restaurants are in walking distance, but at the same time it’s quiet to sleep at night.
