We stayed here for two nights. The location was excellent, a short walk to the castle and the surrounding area, and there were a lot of restaurants nearby. It was a short tram ride from the or station to the hotel to Suizenji keen. We arrived in the city on March 27, the peak day for sakura this year, apparently the season was earlier than average. We booked a Japanesestyle room and were quite pleased with it. It had all the expected amenities, including two cookies to accompany the tea we could make from the hot water provided daily. We did not eat at the hotel. Although the hotel advertises itself as being 120 years old and was built in 188, the building we remained in was much more recent than that and was marketed on their website as being remodeled in 1996. Our room overlooked a quiet side street. The room itself was extremely quiet, despite there being a group of Korean athletes there when we went outside on our way to dinner, but we could not hear them inside the hotel. The family bath was a great benefit. Their website identifies the bath as ultrasonic. When we checked, we learned the schedule for a private bath, and we used it on both days. It was on the same level as the public bath, which was separated by gender. There is also a private area on that level, which may be the owner'

I have seen many great restaurants in the area, so I booked only one room. Tatamiroom was big enough for two people. Ofuro was on the top floor. A good middle-class hotel with a good location, lots of shops and restaurants around the corner.
