Very clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. It would have been nice to have the option for a lighter bed sheet/blanket rather than the heavy comforter as it was quite warm.

Lovely room with handy amenities and good location. Immaculately clean- the most clean hotel environment I’ve ever stayed. The housekeeping team deserve a pay rise! Only downside was the luggage storage lockers weren’t working properly.

Very clean and comfortable room. The bed was spacious and comfortable, and shower excellent. The crockery supplied was very useful, and the coffee machine provided in the reception area a good touch. It felt luxurious, curated, but not ostentatious a hotel. Would definitely return.

Excellent location and the room was simply furnished, but everything worked perfectly. One small downside was the strange selection of available channels on the TV. I wanted to catch up on Wimbledon and no BBC live channels available.

Such a lovely hotel/townhouse to stay for adults. It’s unique, clean, cozy and many shops and restaurants nearby making it a convenient location when you are visiting Edinburgh. It is also near the tram stop. I would advise travellers with big luggages to book the rooms on the lower floor as there are no lifts available and will be difficult to carry luggages if room(s) book will be on the ascending floors. I would strongly suggest management to have a microwave available for the guests- it will be very useful and appreciated. The Nespresso coffee machine made us happy ☺️though. Overall, my husband and I had a restful and fantastic stay. Many thanks ☺️

The room was big and felt very comfortable and luxurious. The bed was huge and super comfy. Shower was good. Loved the decor. The Ropemaker room is in the basement but it was still felt light and airy - you could open the window. Lovely building. Quiet building. Welcoming entrance. Great location, just off Leith High Street and a tram stop round the corner. Easy to get into Central Edinburgh. A second mirror in the room itself would be useful especially for women to dry their hair or put on make up! A tab disappointing was the instant coffee for that standard of room. Loved the Yorkshire tea. Coffee bags or a nespresso machine in the room would have been a nice touch, you can self serve a nespresso in the entrance.
