Had a lovely stay here. Fortunate to get a room looking out to Arthur's seat. Checked in a bit early but this was no issue for the host who kindly accommodated. Parking was easy and location is just a short walk into Edinburgh

The owner of the hotel was extremely welcoming and looked after us for the entire duration of the stay. He was also very helpful and gave us lots of advice about getting around Edinburgh. The hotel is situated a 12-minute bus ride from the city centre, in a very safe quiet area of town. The room was warm and clean and the beds were very comfortable.

stayed for a week at Capital House with my college age son while he was looking for a long term rental to attend the University. the Location was perfect for walking to campus. The room was spacious and comfortable with the European charm of large windows and ornamental plaster mouldings. Ali, the owner, was super helpful with recommendations, both he and his wife were so friendly it was like staying with family. My family will definitely stay here again when we visit our son at school.

The owners are very kind and helpful. The rooms are nice and comfortable. If you're not afraid of a walk, it's within walking distance (less than 30 mins) of the old city, the castle, etc. There is no shampoo provided, so bring your own. We enjoyed our stay here.

Tip 1: if travelling to/from Edinburgh by train, purchase a discounted PlusBus pass along with your train ticket which gives unlimited travel on the bus and tram network. Tip 2: book directly with guest house to source the cheapest room tariffs. Significant discounts to be achieved.

We opted for this property because it was the best value in the region during the fringe festival Military Tattoo Week. The owners' communication was excellent before our arrival and even took me to the store when I asked if he could put a box of maltese in the room. We stayed in room 3, which has a double bed, a wardrobe, a vanity unit with a mirror, two chairs, to, and tea making equipment. There is no en suite, but you have access to a private shower just outside the room, while the other rooms have enough room. The room was tidy and suited us perfectly for the long bank holiday weekend. Every day, the tea making facilities were updated, and toilet paper was provided. The mattress is a bit squeaky when turning over in bed, the only drawback, not really an issue, just a small drawback. The guest house and room have a key, and unlike other guest houses, there is no curfew just a request to be considerate of other guests coming in late or leaving early. We will return the next year because we had a great time. We also had lunch at a nearby Indian restaurant named Pataca. It was a lovely meal. Although it takes only a 15-minute walk to the city center, I would also advise you to rely on an Uber rather than the local cab

I highly recommend this place. My mother and I had a wonderful time, our twin room was upgraded by a friendly host to a spacious family room with an ensuite bathroom. fresh towels, coffee, tea, and biscuits are provided daily. Very attentive and efficient service. The beds are comfortable, and the guest house has magnificent high ceilings with unique decor. A short distance from the Arthur Sea and the Edinburgh Center. Beautiful stay.

I had a wonderful stay here. The location was ideal because it was close to the city center and it is easy to drive or uber. But this is the first time we stayed here. The condition of the room was clean and warm, with lots of fresh towels, tea, coffee biscuits, and daily replenishment. Our host is incredibly friendly and helpful, he will even help us pack our luggage upon arrival. Decor of the 1970 s is classic, which definitely brings us to mind. The large room that has 2 single beds and 1 double beds, which is very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again next time because it has a strong character.

My friend and I have been using Capital House during our stay on the edge of Edinburgh for several years, and it is perfect for our needs. Walking to and from the center takes around 15 minutes and passes some really good food places and shops, a perfect way to start the morning. The beds are warm and cozy, the shower is hot, and the welcome is friendly. Looking forward to returning next year.

E stato un soggiorno confortevole Amira ed il marito sono stati accoglienti gentili disponibili ci hanno dato consigli e suggerimenti per visitare la città e per muoverci con i mezzi di trasporto la stanza era pulita ed accogliente tutti i giorni asciugamani puliti biscotti per la colazione the latte ecc non essendo un hotel ma una guest house si ha la sensazione di avere una casa la posizione perché non centralissimo ma nemmeno fuori mano si può arrivare alla royal mile a piedi in mezzore se si vuole camminare oppure la fermata vicino alla casa in 15 minuti arrivi al centro complimenti ai proprietari che fanno del tutto per farti sentire a tuo agio consigliatissimo
