Love the apartment. It was very cosy for me and my husband. It had everything we needed and very close to everything, which is why I picked this place, as we didn’t rent a car. The host was very quick to respond with my questions and check in was very easy. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. I love the location. I highly recommend!

The free car park is a 15 minute walk away and not the easiest system to check in your car, only way I seemed to be able to get in touch with the property Manager was via WhatsApp, nobody answered phone from two numbers provided. They did at least reply to say all looked good re the parking permit check in. Apartment was ground level, kind of expected a riverside view, unfortunately the only view we had was the bin store. The Apartment was clean enough, with good facilities. Bed was comfy enough and shower was decent with mixer taps. As a base for exploring York I would say the Apartment served it's purpose, only 5-10 minute walk to Shops, Shambles and main areas. I would recommend staying here if you just want a base and are not really bothered about the view.

The bathroom could have been cleaner, toilet bowl missed. Parking included but 15minute walk from the apartment but is safe and secure. The sette in the lounge is very uncomfortable, could do with changing. Issues resolved very quickly. I would stay again.

Everything we needed under one roof. Free parking which, considering the time of year and how busy it was, was ideal. The location was ideal - walking distance to everything!

Cosy YES. Riverside NOT. The title gives the impression that you will have have a riverside view but It felt more like a basement and we had lovely views of the bins! The TV was a nightmare. Degree in technolgy needed. Instructions would have been helpful. Bathroom rough round the edges. Left it cleaner than I found it.... !

Great location, only 5-7 minutes from the centre of town and the shambles. Please be advised that the parking IS NOT on site but a 12-15 minute walk and even then it’s in a secure parking lot with no direction of where to park and we unfortunately parked in someone’s space without knowing. Will not suit anyone with mobility issues. Sadly, the apartment is tired- lots of repairs needed attention. For example, the shower hose was split in so many places it sprayed all over the floor. The plug sockets from previous guests were blocked with broken plugs so unusable. The lounge TV only had sound andno picture.

Me and my partner spent 3 nights here, looking forward to a nice relaxing stay. But what we got was more stressful than it was worth. One of the major issues was a lack of hot water. The instructions state to turn on the Heat Boost for 2 hours per day. We did this, and this gives you around 10 minutes of hot water (if that) which was barely enough for one of us to have a shower. Even if you set it to boost again, it doesnt heat the water up instantly, so youd have to wait at least 2 hours for the 2nd person to shower, which is impossible when we had days out planned every day. Every day we stayed here, one of us had a mostly warm shower and the other person either had to miss out, or had an ice cold shower. We even messaged the owners of the apartment, who didnt seem to care. All we got was "We've never had any problems in the past!" as if we were to blame, and then afterwards we just got ignored. Frankly, the customer service is terrible. I suggest that the apartment gets checked regularly between guests in future to make sure its in working order. Other issues included: - FireTV with advertised Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, etc, just didnt work. - Advertised board games were either missing pieces, or the apartment just didnt have them at all. - Some lights dont work (including above bathroom -espresso machine leaks -

Unfortunately we had issues with our stay. We were unable to access the property as we were not given accurate information on location of the keys. I contacted the phone numbers provided and left multiple messages to say we couldn't access the property.(Your email states to call these numbers should we encounter any problems) No one answered or returned our calls. Some time later another resident was able to assist and we eventually accessed the property. This spoilt our day as we didn't know what to do and were potentially going to end up going back home. The property itself was in a good location unfortunately the 'free parking ' was very inconvenient with a lot of hassle (we don't expect whilst trying to enjoy a weekend break) between where we had to park and transport our bags to the apartment. We were not advised that the parking was off site until after we booked and paid for the stay (Easy to see why, given how far away the parking was) Be aware that the parking is only included during check in and out times. We arrived in the morning to spend the day in York and make the most of it so had to pay £20 to park for the day. I still haven't had any response to messages I left which is very poor. The lack of response was the worst of all! And due to that we won't be rebooking in the future.

Property listing is misleading and inaccurate. Worst EVER hotel experience - do not book! Property was uninhabitable. No effort made by host to sort problems (soaking wet bed, property unclean, filthy everywhere). Parking which was supposed to be on site was actually a 15 min walk away. Offered alternative subject to us allowing someone into the room mid-stay unaccompanied- not a cleaner! And for us to arrange moving between properties at 23h and having to move our car to another off site car park. We declined. But even so, we have not been issued a refund - despite the problems. Hotel did not even apologise for issues. They had 7 hours between being notified of issue to resolve it - but supposedly didn’t have time.

No one present to help. When you arrive. Car park 17 minute walk away with complicated access. No one answers the phone or returns messages Mould in soap dispenser in washing machine-absolutely unusable Unclean bathroom. Dirty stained tea towel left in washing machine, with second tea towel on stove also not clean Unworthy to be on Hotels.com site
