Lovely spot near Grasmere Lake right in the centre of Grasmere. Lots of nice walks nearby. Plenty of pubs/hotels to eat and drink nearby. Would stay here again.

This was a great find! Reasonably priced hotel in a great location where our doggie friends are welcome without any additional charge. We will for sure be back 😄

Amazing location with Grasmere on your doorstep, beautiful room with views over farmland and the lake. Didn't realise upon booking we'd have access to a sauna which was a lovely surprise - but best of all was watching the badgers on the lawn at dusk right outside our windows - an unforgettable experience! Love how ethically focused the hotel was too! Will definitely be staying here again!

Lake View Country House, Grasmere epitomizes the tranquil beauty of the Lake District, offering guests an unforgettable blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Nestled in a peaceful setting with an acre of dog-friendly gardens, this accommodation boasts the rare privilege of private access to the shore of Grasmere Lake, perfect for a secluded morning stroll or paddle. The house is a short walk from the heart of the village, allowing easy exploration of Wordsworth's Dove Cottage and the famous Grasmere Gingerbread shop. Guests enjoy stylish, often lake-view, rooms and the added benefit of a complimentary infrared sauna, making it an ideal retreat after a day of challenging walks on the surrounding fells like Helm Crag. Furthermore, the on-site Grasmere Brewery and Distillery affiliation often provides guests with a discount on food and drink at the nearby gastro-pub, tying the stay to the very essence of local Cumbrian life. Lakeside View nails the essentials: stunning location, thoughtful convenience (parking), and a pet-friendly policy that is truly welcoming. When you combine that with a genuinely fantastic breakfast, you have the perfect Grasmere retreat. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit!

We had a fantastic stay at Lake View. We didn’t realise that we could walk to the lake edge and spend some time in the sunshine. It was so peaceful and serene. The badger watching was an absolute treat.

Beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. Central location. Easy walk into the village or down the private access lane to the lake. Badgers are regular visitors as well as red squirrels.

Booked just one night as a last minute getaway. Stayed in the Penthouse which has a large blacony with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom great. The beams are low at the edges of the room but we are both tall and managed to avoid them :) I would highly recommend this place and will be staying here again in the future.
