This location needs to be reconstructed and rebuilt. The nearby beach is nice and only 500 meters away. Three nights were spent in Pontius Southport. I wish I had read some of these evaluations before booking for the summer holidays. We imagined taking a nice, inexpensive break. This site is basically shattered. I have lots of photos of damaged pieces all over the web. Windblown window frames and rotting wooden panels around the balcony. The firstfloor rooms with large pieces sticking out of the concrete stairs. The room itself was filthy. The fridge and oven were clean, but hairs inside cabinets and crisps on the edge of the stained mattresses. The mould around the bath was awful. Window frames and windows were filthy. One of the windows had broken glass. The kitchen units appear to be part of the original park and are very soiled and worn. Scruffed glass. The kitchen units look like they were part of the original park and are extremely rusty and worn. The curtains have stains down them. There was a new piece outside the dinosaur park that was clearly new and actually quite good animatronic dinosaurs. The other outdoor kids activities were also very good. We went to the entertainment on a couple of nights. The acts werent terrible, but the sound system was awful. Just too much base and distorted sound.

It wasn't like many premier inns would do so, but the man and lady on the front deck helped me and gave me a phone charger, besides that, they work Friday night in July I forgot their names, so they were very friendly and helpful people. They were people.

Ill start by saying that because it has been 35 years since my previous visit to Pontius, my expectations were genuinely mixed. However, I can honestly say that everything considered, everything has been fantastic, minus a few minor issues. We arrived three hours before checkin time as we drove from bolton to southport hoping for friday traffic. We stayed in the park and explored the beach, which is a stone's throw away, while we waited. The staff is really accommodating, even letting us leave the vehicle on the property. We had to navigate a map that reminded us of treasure hunt maps from the happy days after checking in a hurry, in fact, we absolutely loved it. Anyway, after checking in and finding the outdated accommodation, which was thankfully complete with wi-fi bar. There are a few drawbacks, despite the fact that we went to one of the restaurants next to the main reception, where the quality wasnt the finest, and it wasnt the best value, given that it was charged for one serving for larger families. Our wife and 2 childrens first pontius experience was fantastic, but well be back soon.
