Don't be put off by the exterior, the room was great!! Very clean, comfortable bed and had everything needed for a nights stay. The gentleman that treated us was really helpful in helping us find parking. I would definitely book again.

My nephew and I had to relocate our hotel from the Premier at the last minute due to a change in the date of the Leicester City game, so we booked into the Bell Gate House. Having seen some reviews, we weren't expecting a great deal, just somewhere to sleep. However, despite the unassuming entrance in a perhaps slightly rundown area of town, we were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room was very clean and smart, even included (a very slightly bashed) fridge, which we didn't use. We were told by the very friendly manager (owner?) that the beds and mattresses in our room were brand new - and they were the most comfortable beds we have slept on in a hotel for a long while. The only fault in our room was the hose to the shower was a bit leaky, but you are getting wet in the shower anyway so that didn't matter! And yes, the thread on the stair carpet wa a bit bare - but very clean. We knew that breakfast wasn't included. For the price, this is the best value hotel in Leicester!

The room had everything I needed & was pretty clean. En-suite shower (no bath but I prefer a shower anyway), sink & toilet were clean & in good condition. Kettle with coffee& tea options were fine & the TV had the usual free digital channels. I've paid a lot more for poorer rooms.

This was perfect for me as I needed somewhere to stay for one night for the Radio 2 concert in the Park. The guy on reception was super helpful and although the guest house doesn't look much on the outside sandwiched between a mobile phone shop and a kebab shop it's extremely clean and had everything I needed. There was coffee/tea/milk, a fridge, a TV and a clean shower with towels. The only downside was I had to park 3 miles outside of Leicester and get the bus in as there is no parking for the hotel but it wasn't too much of a problem as the bus stop was located outside. A compact room but exactly what I needed.

No remote for the television. Not really a problem this time as I didn’t want the tv on.
