We had a cozy room on the top floor facing north with wonderful views and excellent air flow. The breakfasts were out of this world, and the service was very pleasant. They also bake some great cakes and cookies. It’s also well located for two wonderful walks. The stone circle and Walla Crag.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The staff were so kind and helpful in planning each day’s activities. The house has many nice touches and incredible views. The breakfast to start the day is a fabulous way to prepare for whatever the day has ahead. We look forward to coming back in the future!

Returning for a third time! The hotel is situated in a lovely quiet location ideally suited for walking down into Keswick and for heading off to visit other locations. Breakfast is lovely with a great selection and there are always tray bakes available midafternoon onwards to keep you going! I will book again for my next visit to the lakes!

We had a wonderful stay at The Grange Country House! We got stuck in traffic driving up from London and arrived later than anticipated (just before 8pm) but the owner, Mark, stayed in contact with us on our drive up and was there to greet us, show us around, give us breakfast order slips and lead us to our room. The room was comfortable, spacious, cool and quiet! Breakfast was wonderful, and the staff made excellent recommendations about where to hike and eat. We would have stayed longer if we could - it was a beautiful b&b in a beautiful location!!

Located on the outskirts of Keswick, it's perfectly positioned for easy access to the Town Centre by foot, as well as getting to neighbouring towns and places accessing the A66. A short walk to a bus stop too, taking you to Keswick Centre or across to Ambleside, Grasmere and Windermere on the 555. It's a well presented, immaculate property which is ideal for a peaceful retreat and break. Wi-Fi throughout the property, which works well. The grounds are beautiful and there's a nice terrace to sit on and enjoy a drink outside. Two common rooms are available for use throughout your stay, with comfy sofas and a proper coffee machine (and cake!). Breakfast is exceptionally good, and all local produce. Cooked food (to order) is accompanied by a buffet of fresh fruit, baked goods, cereals and jams. The staff are attentive and very knowledgeable about the area, giving recommendations on things to do and places to visit. The rooms are well equipped, with complimentary drinks and toiletries. Daily room service keeps the rooms well presented, with TV in the room too. Rooms are spacious and finished to a high standard.

From the minute we arrived, the staff could not have done more for our party, extremely helpful and friendly. The property was spotless and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was perfect with a good variety and good quality ingredients. We had the perfect stay!

Excellent location just a short walk into the centre of town, lots of great bars/restraunts/shops etc. The room was clean and cozy, the rest of the building was full of character, really stunning. The addition of a fan in the room was great in the warmer weather. The staff are very friendly and helpfull, very knowledgeable about local walks and amenities. The breakfast was fabulous, all fresh and cooked to order, excelent range of continental buffet options, locally made sausages and fresh baking everyday. Great parking right next to the building, lovely patio area and gardens to wander round. We've had a lovely stay, will be heading back to the same place!

Visited for my girlfriends birthday. The staff were incredible, knowledgeable and inviting. Left flowers from the garden in our room on her birthday and was always ready to help and answer any questions. Room was lovely and breakfast was perfectly cooked to order! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

This was my second stay here (previous one in 2023). I stayed for 2 nights while exploring the Lakes on my motorbike. Delighted to see the staff are as happy and helpful as ever. Gorgeous quiet rooms with decent showers. I will be back!

I cannot fault this property. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean and fresh to a great standard of decoration (much like the rest of the hotel) and the breakfasts were delicious. We will definitely return when we stay in the Lakes next time.

A character-full period property in an impressive setting, with parking space provided. Everything was clean and tidy.The breakfast room has some great views of the surrounding landscape. The breakfast itself was delicious and plentiful. There is also a lounge room downstairs which has a shared fridge and a free espresso maker in for use throughout the day. Our bedroom was a decent size, comfortable and ckean. The bed and bathroom, shower etc. all good. What really stood out for us though, were the staff. All very friendly and helpful and helped make our stay very pleasant. A note for EV users- There is an EV charger (slow - 7kw) available on site for 60p per kWh, which we made use of to top up. Although if you visit the nearby Underscar manor spa during your visit (you can get a free pass for the spa from the hotel) , they have slow pod point chargers there for around 30p per kwh. We made use of these too, but you have to install an app on your phone for these and preload the money for them.

Stayed at The Grange for 2 nights on my own. Beautiful property and very well looked after. All the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Had a good shower, lovely large fluffy towels and quality toiletries. Breakfast was also superb with a good selection. Would definitely recommend.
