My husband & I stayed overnight in a ‘cosy double room’ Limited space with one side of the bed against a wall but well appointed otherwise with a stand alone fan or heater if we needed it. The Nespresso coffee pod machine was a nice touch. Lovely, new ensuite shower room with large over head shower. The bed was lovely & comfortable. 2 minor let downs - dust in the shade of the bedside lamp with a dead bulb. Also a lot of dust in the stand alone fan placed immediately adjacent to the bed.

The room clean and and the pub downstairs is really nice, especially food. It would be good though if they could serve breakfast in the pub but it doesn’t open early enough. It’s a nice area although a little rough around the edges.

Superb hotel. Bit of a walk to station but lots of bars and restaurant with an easy walk. Well appointed, clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

Our second stay at the Hanbury, the bar downstairs is open from noon, the food is available all day & tasty. The area is quiet, but the shops, cafes and restaurants of Islington are nearby. The room was clean, bed comfortable and appreciated the coffee machine and complimentary water. Would recommend.

We had a lovely time staying at the Hanbury Townhouse, and it was the perfect base for us. We wanted to explore East London and the markets rather than heading to the tourist spots, so this was perfect. We were within a 30 minute walk of Broadway Market on Saturday and Colombia Road Market on Sunday, and it was just perfect for what we wanted. Despite being above a pub, the room was quiet enough for us to be able to get to sleep. There was noise from downstairs but it was a nice background of people enjoying their weekend with a beer in a friendly pub. The only minor pain was the light in the bathroom was on a sensor, so whenever you walked in, it turned on. This made nipping to the loo in the night a bit of a pain as the light shone back into the bedroom and could be disturbing. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay and would certainly visit again!

Clean quiet and very tidy. The adjoining pub offered good food and drink. Easy to get to and from the city for work. Perfect really, would consider booking again.

Lovely neighbourhood. Friendly staff in the pub which was under the rooms. The pub and townhouse are owned by the same person. It appears to be a family run business.

Very pleasant boutique lodgings for a budget price. The bedroom had beautiful wood-panelling while the bathroom looked brand new. Nice touches like daily glass bottles of mineral water. The property felt secure thanks to a touchpad entry system and the friendly bar staff let me store my luggage after checkout. Although the rooms are above a pub, it's not a partially raucous one and it closes at 11pm, so noise didn't cause an issue for sleeping.
