I was there for only one night - but it was really cool it was like staying overnight in a museum.

The hotel is a converted old National Guard armory building, and the conversion was done well. The outside has picturesque parapets and iron bar studded widows. The interior features a large hall that is used for catering events. The sides of the building interior is studded with guest rooms. The rooms are spacious with nice furniture and amenities. The large 3rd floor common rooms were decorated with quality vintage furniture, paintings and tasteful taxidermy. Easy walking distance to nice neighborhood restaurants. A unique, comfortable property with a nice staff.

Very unique! Good food options nearby. Accommodating to cyclists by providing bike storage. Wish they had a bar or restaurant on site.

This is a wonderful, strange, truly special place. You could stay in a hotel you will never remember just to rest your head on a road trip or you could stay here and wonder forever if it was real or just a strange dream you had. Also: our room was palatial. I was so glad to find this hotel.

This is by far the most unique and clean hotel i have ever stayed at. This was my 2nd visit to the Castle, and i am planning on making it a annual trip. There is so much to see within the Castle that you will see something new every time you visit. I wish they had this Castle at every location I vacation.

Nice place. But did except that that the rooms would have been more of the period of time.

The Amsterdam Castle is one of the most unusual and interesting places where we have stayed. The owners have designed it down to every little detail with period pictures and antique furniture. Our beautiful room had every modern amenity that we could’ve wished for yet maintained the old-fashioned charm. We look forward to staying there again.
