I booked the Boston Bay Suite for a bachelorette party. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the room was perfectly laid out. I would 10/10 recommend this facility for any girls trips!

The room was nice. We could hear some noise from the bar until 8pm, then a little noise from staff cleaning up. After 10 pm it was quiet.

It was nice & clean. Our room Was pretty basic & right behind check in. Courtney was great & was everywhere. Check-in, Boat rental, dining etc. she needs a raise.

Room was very clean, staff was amazing, only reason I could not give a 5 star review was due to room location. Directly across from front deck and close to front door, this causes a lot of noise just outside our room. Food in the resteraunt was very good as well.

This room is a very nice. It felt clean & quality. Great size for a large family to be cozy & close together, yet have enough space for everyone to sleep and some small areas for kids to play. As a designer I loved the way this room was finished. However, this room is located next to the bar/restaurant. The stage was on the other side of the wall to our room. We stayed on a Friday night/Karaoke night and were able to hear every song & sing along. Fortunately this only lasted until 10pm and bar closed at 11. The door to this room is next to the check-in counter which also felt a bit odd, but the room helped make up for it. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here. It is larger than your average hotel room and nicer than most as well for about the same price. If you are staying on a weekend you may want to call and find out what event might be going on. However, if you turn up the TV volume and plan on not going to sleep until after 10pm this will work for you. This lodge is not that large. Maybe a max of 10 rooms...? It would be a great place to have a small wedding where everyone is able to rent a room and have the whole lodge to yourselves.

Beautiful lake, the food was pretty good, the room didn't have a window but the bed was comfy. Bathroom door squeaked pretty loud. Perch dinner Friday night was excellent. Prime Rib Saturday was good but was just served warm. Live music Friday was excellent. Outdoor fire pit was beautiful. There are some nice wineries close by and a few neat spots in town.

Balsam Lake Lodge is a beautiful property and the room was lovely. However, when we arrived at the 3 pm check-in time they were short staffed and they could not login to the computer for check-in. They had to call the manager who was off-duty and did not answer or return the call. We waited for 45 minutes before they said our room was being cleaned and would be ready in about 20 minutes. The 3 young women who were trying their best to perform all the necessary duties were not at fault. They did their best. The problem was poor management.

This property is not what is appears online. No staff check in as we arrived early so had to ask restaurant staff. It closed at night with no staff overnight. We arrived late from dinner and dark in entry and i tripped over a rock holding down. Main entrance doors left open all night with no staff. Bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly, hot upstairs with only a box fan of “suite”. Dirt on floors and comforter. No seating area for more than 2 people in suite, but sleeps 6. In the am, no staff until 10 and like a ghost town. Can’t get breakfast or any service in am. Couldn’t go through the hotel to back lake area because it was all locked and dark. No chairs to sit on dock or area near water, just a few old picnic tables. Filthy entrance, trash in parking lot, bugs and cobwebs in main entrance windows. For $300 a night, one of worst experiences for a lake front lodge. Grounds looked uncared for. and weeds in all beds. The whole place felt dirty. Staff was nice and we ordered cheese curds which were delicious. Coming from out of state, this was such a letdown. Overpriced and i felt duped by online portrayal.

There was no room service so we had to hunt down someone every day to get Keurig coffee refills. Hard to find someone! There was no place in the bathroom to store/put toiletries, pills, hairdryer, etc. They had a little pedal stand that could only hold my husband’s dop kit. And There was plenty of space in the bathroom for a chest or table since there was no countertop. Couldn’t charge anything to your room cause it was too confusing for them, really?? For $250 a night I would never stay there again.

No windows in our room. Room not cleaned by 3:00 check in. No beach There is kayak rental The staff seemed much more concerned about the restaurant and bar than the lodge. Staff was somewhat disorganized.

Room was directly across from the registration desk which made it noisy until the kitchen closed and was cleaned for the night. There was a BRIGHTLY illuminated exit light hanging inside the room above the door. The brightness/intensity of the light made it difficult to sleep. The person who checked us in was really rude, we stood there for like 10 minutes before she acknowledged us. She was on the phone but didn’t even smile or acknowledge us in anyway even though we were standing right in front of her. I travel in northern WI several times a month for work. Because of this interaction, I will not stay here again.

The room was shared a wall with the hotel bar. There was live music till 10PM, then the crowd got louder as the night went on. The bar closed at 1AM but We could hear loud talking well past 2AM outside our rooms door! If you can sleep through the noise the room was clean, and modern.
