Clean, convenient and comfortable stay, while also close location to our hikes at Pictured Rocks. Only negative was road noise. We enjoyed our stay.

We booked a suite not realizing that the suite do not come with the kitchen/stove area. They were easy to accommodate and get us upgraded to the cabin that would allow us to store and cook all the food we brought. They have a beautiful waterfall right behind the property that you can actually go right under! They have a giant hiking trail as well. It’s just enough out the city but not to far where my husband and I biked into town and explored as well. The personal fire pit out front made the cold night warm. Along with having centralized air and heating was amazing. Very clean inside, no issues with anything. They provided Kcups for coffee, bathroom soap essentials, and even a lighter to get your fire started. I loved the giant windows to view from but also that they had shades for privacy. Overall this cabin experience at explore made our trip to the U.P peacefully at home.

The house manual was super useful for both the cabin and the surrounding area. The firepit and washer/dryer were useful and def enhanced the comfort of our stay. Would stay again!

Private very quaint loved everything about the place. Lots to do in Munising. Only thing that was uncomfortable was the parking it was a little scary on side of hill. Highly recommended

We booked two nights at Explorer Munising, and after reading some of the reviews, it made me a little worried of how our stay would end. But this place is absolutely AMAZING! THE LOCATION IS 10/10 the property is absolutely beautiful! To the people who say there isn’t instructions for check-in, they make the door access extremely easy, you don’t park across the street from the cabin. It’s literally 10 feet from your front door where you park. When people say it’s unsafe I’m assuming they’re new to visiting Michigan’s upper Peninsula, because no matter where you go it’s an adventure and there’s always a risk with that adventure! The kitchen inside of the cabins had everything you need for a stay. It has a mini fridge, a microwave and a coffee machine and a combo washer/dryer. Theres a small couch, a chair table and a large counter space for food, anything. Noise from the road? NONE from inside the cabins - yes you hear it if you’re sitting outside but WHO CARES! The smokeless fire pits outside of the cabins are not too close, you just do not stuff them like you do in your backyard (the fire to end our night was honestly so relaxing and the sky almost looked fake) The cleaning fee is absolutely affordable and completely understanding, you’re not walking into a hotel you’re walking into your own private place. You treat him like you’re home. You take your trash out when you leave and you lock the door. Don’t be lazy, these places don’t last when you have negative reviews!

This was a last minute weekend in Oct stay! I am so glad we found EXPLORE and they had availability!! We stayed in a studio cabin. We did not use any of the provided appliances so I cannot comment on those. Place was clean! Comfortable! Shower was perfect after a long day or two of hikes! There are a couple of trails on property which came in handy after our long drive up first day ! Will stay here again !!!!

It was very clean and cute. The property is great - conveniently located minutes from Munising and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore even has a couple of its own hiking trails on site. Stoves for your own personal campfire are a bonus!!

These cabins were a fantastic place to start and end our days. They had everything we needed, were clean, and spacious. We enjoyed the on-site hiking. Know that if you’re brining more than three people you’ll want to bring extra camp chairs to sit outside.

The property was great! However, we drove in at night and none of the units were lit and the sign at the road was not lit. This made it hard to find the property. Once we were there ... it was great!!

Cottage 210 was the perfect spot for our week long stay. The cottage came with everything we needed including 4 coffee pods (no sugar or cream), 2 laundry pods, 2 dishwasher pods, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner,and body wash. Including firewood for the solo stove! We made dinner a few nights and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed as well. The bed was super comfortable, loved the blackout shades and sound machine. Each room including the living room had a smart TV. Convenient to log in to any app you want. The water pressure was incredible!! We stayed with our dog and the side door and yard was perfect for letting her out to do her business. Not to mention the view from the front windows was so relaxing and beautiful. Pat's food grocery store less than a mile a way has roast chicken, pre made dinners, and everything else you need. In town we loved eh! Burger and East Channel Brewimg and the wood fired pizza connected. Location is perfect to kayak and/or take a Pictured Rock tour as well as a day trip to Marquette. We highly recommend and hope to be back!!
