Loved the unique character and history. Beautiful rooms, just like the online pictures. Enjoyed sitting on the veranda rocking chairs and porch swing in the cool of the evening. Lovely little private beach a minute’s walk away. Definitely worth staying and would recommend it to anyone coming to the area.

Super cool and unique stay. Instead of a pool, you have a beautiful lake with sandy beach! The rooms are super cute and all motel rooms have a lake view. We had a fire at night and nice breakfast in the morning. Looking forward to coming back!

Right on the lake, plenty of places to sit and enjoy outside. Our room was nice and the bed comfortable. Very relaxing.

The stay was great. Loved the historical basis of the building and the rooms were amazing and very comfortable. Reminded me of my childhood in my parents home with all the antiques. Our late check in still had wonderful service and I would be glad to trade the owners a couple of weeks work for another stay so they could vacation :). Nice quick breakfast and they offer boats, croquet and campfires! The building needs some TLC on the outside as do all old buildings but the inside was beautiful. Best sleep on our trip so far to the Upper Peninsula!

Out of the way stay but totally worth it for the experience. Historic unique lodge that combines the old with the new. Creative, antique decorating. Great lakeside grounds and beautiful gardens. Personalized service. Our room and breakfast was very nice.

This was the best of the best. Friendly staff, beautiful restored home, lovely stories regarding the past life of the home. Property was amazing, with boats to use, games to play, a firepit, a bar and breakfast in the morning. Rooms are large and private with two to a hallway.

Excellent experience! The entire grounds, building, and room are all spotlessly clean. We highly recommend this amazing historic lodge, for any peaceful and quiet occasion.
