For a quiet get away that makes you feel like you have come home, the Orchard House B&B is a must to visit and re-visit. Mike and Deb make you feel like family and have the gift of hospitality. The accommodations were excellent with plenty of nooks and places to relax and leave your worries behind.

Only glitch is the sound of trucks in low gear on Route 29 but that will be solved when we have electric trucks!

They go above and beyond with their breakfast! We stayed in the Northern Spy Room which was bright and cheerful with a lovely view of the side yard and trees. The owners were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Plenty of good restaurants around. Great fire pit outside where we hung out with other guests. Would definitely stay there again :)

This was our second time and not our last! I can tell you many positive qualities about this place, but in today's world, I will give them high praise for considering the safety of their guests. Deb and Mike wore face shields, gloves during serving. There were two other couples there and we all had adequate room to social distance. They are health and safety conscience without sacrificing the level of personal attention and charm that the Inn is known for.

Hosts were very welcoming. Always had a smile on, made sure everyone had what they needed and even recommended several wineries, breweries, restaurants and hiking trails. You also get a little extra taken off the check if you go to a recommended place (ask for the restaurant card). We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful Place, Great Hospitality, superb Breakfasts. This is a Seriously good Choice. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Its located south of Charlottesville but is an easy pleasant drive into Town. One of the best places I have stayed in within the USA , and we have visited 30 states.

Helt underbart Bed & Breakfast! Det är så avslappnande, från att sitta på verandan med morgonkaffet och njuta av fåglarna och kaninerna, den härliga saltvattenspoolen och till brasan som man kan sitta och njuta av på kvällen. Ägarna Deb och Mike är så vänliga och hjälpsamma, de kan ge en massa tips på saker att göra. Mycket god frukost, som var annorlunda varje morgon. Vi stortrivdes och skulle mer än gärna komma tillbaka!

We just had the best experience ever staying at Orchard House Bed and Breakfast. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful and welcoming. Deb and Mike have put their heart and soul into this lovely bed and breakfast. From Mike’s gourmet breakfast looking out on the lovely grounds to the little things like the homemade cookies and brownies that Deb had put out to welcome us “home” in the evening, coupled with genuine hospitality, I cannot praise this place enough. We had never Deb and Mike before, but now feel like we made good friends. And the rooms are lovely. Thanks for everything. We highly recommend Orchard House B&B.

I spent about an hour using different search engines to find the perfect B&B experience like I’ve had in the UK. I considered a few choices when selecting a B&B in this wine region of Virginia. Location, the charm of the B&B home, of course a reasonable price range and that perfect host and/or hostess. To me, Orchard House ranked #1 for all of my requirements for my trip with my husband over a long weekend. Lovingston, Virginia was a perfect location. We opted for a B&B that had more scenic ambiance rather than one located by the side of a downtown road. Here I could see a great view (even during winter) from the bay windows of my room. Deb and Mike were great hosts offering interesting sites of the area. During breakfast the morning after we arrived, they asked us what interests we had - food, driving on scenic by-ways, Civil War history? Then they gave us suggestions based off our likes and dislikes instead of offering more generic local lists of things to do. When my husband mentioned to Mike that he liked distilleries, but only drank non-bourbon drinks, Mike offered up a local place that offered such spirits. That tidbit of info I didn’t see on the internet reviews. If Mike didn’t know the details of this local distiller, we might not have even considered that as part of our adventure. The breakfasts were delicious & the portions were more than enough. I just loved the Eggs Benedict with asparagus! It’s back to work and I’ll be missing that breakfast and great hosts!
