It was a hidden treasure located in the mountains. It was quiet and peaceful, and the staff was very nice.. I look forward to staying there again if I’m ever in the area.

Love Peaks of Otter! Peaceful and a perfect setting around the lake. Dinner at the lodge was very good and reasonably priced.

I truly appreciate the Lodge and understand that there are probably financial constraints that prevent renovation or remodeling: the National Parks system is AMAZING and the lodges are in beautiful locations and affordable. Peaks of Otter is a lovely, accessible location. But the air conditioner was very old and very loud, and the blinds didn't work because the cords were broken. Aside from that, everything was wonderful: inexpensive dining and lodging in a beautiful location. Thank you!

We love this place for the peaceful, quiet stay. Beautiful scenery, restaurant food was good, the menu is small, but everything was delicious. There's a paved path around the lake for a stroll, bird sounds and a close encounter with a deer!

It was a wonderful place to stay. So peaceful. Everyone was very friendly. It wss so easy to take our dog out the porch door and walk to the lake. Would definitely be staying there again.

Love that the updates didn’t take from the old lodge atmosphere from yesteryear! Enjoyed our stay!

Tucked into the mountains and overlooking a small lake, this is a very special place to stay. It's perfect if you want to continue your national park experience overnight, but prefer a very comfy bed over a tent. I can't recall the last time I encountered such warm, welcoming staff. They helped make this a very memorable part of our travels and we hope to return soon.

The lodge reminded me of lodges of the past...clean, comfortable, no added frills. Dining room/ servers were so friendly and the food was good(fries could have been hotter)

Our room was nice and clean. We enjoyed the outdoor patio area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the dinning room. Both meals were delicious and prepared well. We enjoyed lovely walks around the property.

We had three nights at Peaks of Otter Lodge. We loved the nostalgic feel to the lodge. Rooms aren't fancy here. But very clean. And the view from every room is stunning. The grounds were well manicured. Such a peaceful place. The restaurant staff was wonderful. The food was delicious. We are so glad we chose this beautiful place to celebrate our 45th anniversary.

Excellent service. Très bien situé quand il n’y a pas de travaux sur la Blue Ridge. Une section très spectaculaire mais qui nous a pris un grand détour pour en profiter à cause des travaux.

Peaks of Otter Lodge is always enjoyable to visit. The room is clean and very relaxing. The scenery is beautiful and so nice-trail around the lake is excellent. We stay here often as we can-would highly recommend it.

We had a fabulous stay at Peaks of Otter Lodge. It’s a great place, but what made it better was the front desk person, Emma. We stayed there during a 7 day Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway bike ride. She actually called me while I was in the middle of a 12 mile uphill to see if we’d need anything when we arrived. When we met at the desk she was welcoming and gave us local knowledge about roads, trails, etc. and was a delight to talk to. She was able to help us with specific requests which made our travels so much easier. Restaurant and bar service and food really good.

This is a beautiful property and we have stayed here once before. Overall the staff was very nice and helpful. We were not happy with the check in procedure. The app says 3pm check in. Their actual check in is at 4 pm. As we waited patiently in the lobby for almost an hour we were a little surprised when a couple came in at 3:50 pm and were checked in. No acknowledgment that we were there first or any interaction until we made the effort to get checked in. Even so , we highly recommend this property!
