Great property. It is a contactless check in so make sure to read the messages sent by the property. Rooms are spacious and very nice. Wonderful restaurant on site, North Star, with great staff and awesome bartender. Stayed for a NASCAR race at Lime Rock Park and will definitely come back.

This is an awesome little place run by a very hospitable couple, close to some great hikes, cideries, breweries, and more. The king room we had was well-appointed and very comfortable. Loved the outdoor courtyard areas, where you can light fires and just chill. Really appreciated the complimentary breakfast--not only is there good coffee, local yogurt, and homemade granola in the rooms, but there were fixins for egg-cheese-sausage sandwiches in the common lounge area. We did a late checkout for $20 and it was worth it. Highly recommend, and I'd definitely return!

A lovely place. Lots of cute amenities. The linens and towels were outstanding. I really appreciated that it’s all one level (I hate stairs) and one can park at or near one’s room. Lots of great grass for walking dogs and outdoor seating areas. I would only say that my room, a “junior” was Quite tiny so I would not advise it for more than one person as there was no chair or dresser —just the bed and a small bedside table and small fridge and precious little floor space. Also someone did a really bad paint job in there (room 9) which was odd because everything was so new and trying to be upscale.

Great place to stay. Super clean and comfortable. We truly appreciated how much thought went into the room— especially the granola from their restaurant and the bag of ice in the freezer, even the glassware options were great to have. They seem to have thought of everything. We loved enjoying the fire pit before bed. We would definitely stay at the Alander again!

We thought this was a lovely weekend experience. Highly suggest going to the attached restaurant, and had a great time hiking to the nearby waterfall. A charming area and a charming place to stay.

Don't get fooled by any negative reviews you read, as my stay at The Alander was one of the best. From arrival to departure, the staff at The Alander went out of their way to make my stay wonderful. I informed the staff the morning I would be there that I would get there late. Check-in was seamless as they provided a code for your room, and the lights were turned on when I arrived. The cozy room had a cabin feel, a king bed, ample space, and plenty of amenities. Fresh ground local coffee, homemade granola, and yogurt were just a few of the small touches that set The Alander apart from other independently owned lodging I've used. The next day, when I was out, housekeeping personally texted me to ask if I needed anything. WiFi ran smoothly, and though I didn't take advantage of the firepit, next time I could definitely see sitting fireside roasting marshmallows! The Alander was great, and I certainly will stay there next time I'm in the area.

Great hotel, exactly what I needed. I was just up for the one night and raced over at Lime Rock in the morning. Thanks to the Alander, I got a great night's sleep and a quick ride over to the track in the morning. It was perfect, easy, comfortable, and all the love and effort Reid and Jason put into it clearly shows in all the small touches. The attached restaurant was great too. I had the rigatoni bolognese and it was a perfect portion and prepared so well. I look forward to staying there again the next time I come up for a track day. Thank you!

A lovely stay at The Alander, the host allowed was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are cozy and designed beautifully.The cute restaurant attached to the hotel had a lovely staff who gave us a bag of ice for our room. The grounds are very relaxing and the atmosphere fun. That rain shower in the bathroom is truly heavenly. Thank you Copake, we will be back.
