We visited crater lake and our next stop was Oregon coast. To avoid driving long distance on same day we picked this location as it’s just 20+ miles ( 30 mins) from crater lake national park. It’s really charming camping kind of experience! Our room was very near to the creek! So it was really nice. Only thing is there is 0 WiFi availability. Even though the resort has wifi , it’s in middle of Forrest so the signal is super poor! Almost non-existent!! Just across the resort is Beckie’s cafe and an icecream shop. Beckie’s cafe we had our lunch and it was pretty good! The icecream shop runs from 11-5 pm so it was closed by the time we reached. But overall our experience was good! The property also has coffee maker. We booked a cottage that had bathroom inside. Some cottages have common bathrooms.

Resort is right on the freeway - if your looking. otherwise you can miss it. no sign telling you are close. or if there was one, i did not see it. no phone signal. so be sure ur GPS navigation is set before heading out.

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, clean, loved the sound of the creek, hiking trails behind property, restaurant across the street. Cons: Not all cabins have a full kitchen, small bathroom and some cabins have a shared bathroom. Call to ask which cabin you are getting.

What a remarkable location. We stayed in a cabin and it was comfortable and cute. I will definitely go back and recommend it to others. Expedia canceled my reservation and I was not informed. When I got to the complex, they found a work around - which was gracious. Call them directly to confirm your reservations. They said expedia has done this before. Also, if you stay in the lodge - 4 rooms - two rooms have a shared bathroom . We stayed and went to Crater Lake and it was about 20 minutes to the gate. At Union Creek, you will have a cute cabin at the edge of the woods and there is a restaurant and ice cream parlor across the road.

Make sure you understand the selection of room. They have a house with rooms and two shared bathrooms with showers. Was kind of different for us but it was great! I’d choose a cabin if I came back. The restaurant across the street was really good.

Our cabin was just what we had expected. It is simple, well heated and comfortable. Located close to many hiking trails and great views is a plus. We really liked it!

In the lodge, we had a small bedroom with a sink, and two shared bathrooms with toilet and shower. Quiet and clean but not handicapped accessible because you have to take stairs to the second floor. We went in early May before the start of the season, so Beckie’s Cafe wasn’t open. Decent options of restaurants in Prospect. Must see: Rouge River Gorge. The trail is easy and has 4 viewing points to enjoy the beautiful river.

My husband and I recently had a wonderful experience staying in Union Creek Resort while visiting Crater Lake and the surrounding area. Lodge room are clean, quaint and rustic in a beautiful setting. We had no issues with the shared bathrooms. Stayed two nights and never encountered another occupant. Love that its sets right near the creek. Could hear the sound of the rushing water in our room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Room have no TV, internet and wifi is not the greatest. Would highly recommended, unless you can absolutely not live without TV or internet!! We would like to reserve a cabin the next time we visit.
