The best thing about this property is the location! So close to the beach, the wharf, State street shopping and restaurants. We walked everywhere. The hotel itself is older, not recently updated, but we loved its funky antique charm. Our room was dated but it fit with the charm of the rest of the property. No air conditioning but it wasn’t necessary. We had a cool ocean breeze every night through the window. The room was as clean as it could be considering the age of the building… and the beds were not top of the line but still comfortable. If you’re not super picky, you will enjoy the charm of this place. We will definitely come back!

The property was beautiful, staff was amazing, however I wasn’t too happy that I got charged each night for property tax and 2 security deposits instead of being only charged for one. Over all I’d stay there again

Spectacular! In every way. Our check in was easy, the staff was helpful and informative. Our room was large with comfortable beds and a sitting area. We were on floor 2 with a balcony and a view of the ocean. Villa Rosa is an easy walk to the wharf and State Street. There is a complimentary wine and cheese offering in the afternoon and breakfast in the morning. We didn't swim but did have wine in the courtyard. Villa Rosa is a beautiful boutique hotel!

this hotel is our favorite for Santa Barbara weekend getaways! a half a block from the beach = walking distance to the pier and several great restaurants... and it's super cute. pool and hottub area are nice and quiet... lots of statues and plants throughout. staff is friendly and helpful, although front desk isn't manned 24hrs, they are responsive. it's an old building and the decor is antique-ish, but comfortable. definitely recommend!

Beautiful property! We love the details of this Spanish hotel. Large room and gorgeous tile. Love the fireplace in the lobby on a rainy morning with excellent coffee! We will be back!

Perfect location steps from beach. 3 minute walk to Amtrak station, restaurants, bars, museums, State St, shopping. Pool, spa, continental breakfast and evening wine and hors douvres, no resort feee or parking fees. So while this is an older hotel, given that we only used it for sleeping and the room was clean, we think this was great value for money compared with other hotels in the same vicinity.

Loved this place! Super cute and homey. Great location and morning staff was great and helpful. Night staff was a little sketchy, complained about my kids going in the pool at 830pm when it was open until 10 but then she left thru the back alley for like an hour.

Such a wonderful spot! Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Melody. Loved the quirky decorating and live koi on patio. Great happy hour. Nice to have hot tub and bikes. Thanks for a wonderful birthday stay!

Super cute, family friendly and right by the water!! This hotel exceeded our expectations. Gave a good homey vibe and the morning/afternoon staff was super friendly and helpful with all our questions. Night staff was a little sketchy and missing a lot of the time and tried to tell us kids couldn’t be in the pool after 8:30. But overall it was a nice visit and clean place to stay.

Alot of parking, walking distance from beach and pier. Such a cute and whimsical place. Room 3 was sooo pretty it had an upstairs separate room with a balcony to enjoy the weather with beach view. Small kitchenette with utensils, cups and mugs pots and pans. Enjoyed every moment of this place, highly recommend
