Sapaxa Spring Garden Ecolodge has been the highlight of our trip to Sapa. It truly has been an immersive experience in the beautiful and peaceful countryside. The bungalow style suites consisted of comfortable, cozy beds and bedding which includes all the necessities that any hotels can offer. The suite felt like an haven of relaxation and provided us with great privacy. We particularly enjoyed waking up and sitting on the porch overlooking the views while sipping on coffee each morning or reading a book midday. The property itself is adorned with traditional wooded panels and lamps. It was also a treat to see and spend time with the country animals roaming around the area each day. The home cooked meals prepared by the host were also so deliciously made and generous in portion. My partner and I felt it tasted far better than many of the meals we tried at the restaurants in town. Above all, the host and his family were so lovely and kind. They are so dedicated in their craft and maintaining their property as great hosts. Our stay at Sapaxa Spring Garden Ecolodge has made a lasting memory. It was such a calming and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We highly recommend for anyone who's looking to escape from the crowdedness of the town and recharge in a calming and traditional atmosphere that Sapa has to offer under the care of such wonderful hosts!

I picked Sapaxa as I wanted to experience Sapa much closer to nature. There are only 8 cottages so it is such an itimate vibe. Mua really helped with everything that you need and really my made my stay so much better. The bed is one of the most comfortable bed you'll ever sleep on! An hour hike away is a Hmong village, easy hike and do not miss out on the herbal bath in the village. The water pressure in the shower is not the best but the hot water at least is very good. The food at the restaurant is simple and I do recommend the chicken soup in the morning. When in Sapa, the best places to stay are outside of the city centre. Sapaxa Spring Garden Ecolodge is one of the best ones.

I really wanted to like this place. Staff was trying their best. I found an open condom wrapper and an unused condom still in the wrapper between my mattress and the bed frame. Old car tires were used to hold up the flower beds. That’s not very ecolodge like. The food was not very good. I ordered a Banh mi and received something with scrambled eggs and two slices of Wonderbread. No baguette in sight, no pork or other meats. The whole village is incredibly dirty with trash everywhere. I’m not exaggerating. It was very disappointing. Staff would sit on the tables with their feet on the benches. Some of the staff was very sloppy, with their outfit and behavior. I’m a solo traveler and it was hard for me to find a decent restaurant in Ta Phin. I was told that the herbal baths establishments will make meals but not for a single person. I won’t stay there again. Next time I will stay in Sapa, not Ta Phin village. I left after three days because it was so bad. I was supposed to stay 7 days. I took the bus back to Hanoi where I liked it.
