Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located in a quieter area of Aruba, which we preferred over the much busier Palm Beach. Eagle Beach is beautiful - wide, clean, and one of the highlights of our trip. The pool area is also excellent and very well maintained. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and cleaned thoroughly every day, with excellent housekeeping service. There were a few downsides, though. We weren’t a fan of the beach setup. The lounge chairs were placed quite far from the water and very close together. In addition, the front row was usually “reserved” very early in the morning by guests leaving towels on the chairs. Another inconvenience was that the beach chairs were removed after 4 p.m., so it wasn’t possible to comfortably enjoy the beach in the late afternoon. A couple of practical things to know before you arrive: there is no ATM at the hotel, so it’s a good idea to bring enough cash. Our room also didn’t have a minibar. The breakfast was the best meal of the day, with a good selection of food. However, we were surprised that only regular black coffee was included. Cappuccinos, lattes, and other specialty coffee drinks came at an additional charge, and this wasn’t clearly communicated in advance. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, we had a wonderful stay.

Everyone was nice, friendly, helpful! All the waiters, conceirge, drivers; all asked about our stay and had an nice temperament. We went during the week, so the beach and pool area had available chairs and towels. The room and resort was always clean. We tried all the restaurants. At times the service was slightly slower service that we may be accustomed to, but that is to be expected depending on the time of day, amount of customers, staffing and so forth. It would not deter me and I would definitely go back and stay again. I would get a rental this time to explore more of the island!

The property is beautiful and very well maintained, both in the public areas and our room. As many people note, the service can be particularly slow at times, but overall the service was great. We were on the all-inclusive package, and my wife and I both enjoyed the food at all the restaurants. The quality was very high, with a good variety including meats (steak and lamb chops), fish, and vegetarian options. There is no nightlife to speak of on the property, so we went off site. Bartenders were great, especially at the swim up bar. Overall we were very satisfied, will stay there when we return to Aruba, and highly recommend Joia.

We would 100% recommend staying at this resort. The service was amazing, restaurants and food options very good, and although the beach is across the street which we were nervous about, it wasn’t an issue at all - we didn’t even think about it once we were on property.

This was our second time visiting JOIA and it was an excellent stay like the first time, which is why we returned. We had a minor inconvenience on our third day but one of the managers Mariana went above and beyond to rectify the situation. We were truly appreciative and thankful for the level of service she provided.

I cannot rave about this 5 stars hotel enough!! From the attentive staff, all the amenities. It’s just so spectacular. Right across beautiful Eagle beach where you can watch the sunset or from your room if you have the ocean view. The rooftop pool is amazing. The breakfast buffet is to die for! Everything was amazing, but the service was the highlight of my stay! Also the vallet was so convenient since I had a car rental. It was no hassle, they’d grab my car anytime I needed it and took care of the parking when I got back. This is the best hotel In Aruba! They go above and beyond!
